Jon and Dani originally eloped to the Amalfi Coast in 2010. Thirteen love-packed years later, to the very day, they gathered their loved ones for a gratitude ceremony that celebrated their love story so far and their plans, promises and intentions for the future, in a ceremony shaped entirely to their unique personal vision and precise wishes, featuring music and merriment, releasing balloons, sipping bubbles and breaking glass to inaugurate their new era of marriage. They even received a personal dedication from Positano mayor before they headed off to revisit their original reception venue, just as they had on their wedding day, cuddled up together on a vintage scooter!

I just had to share these super special socks worn by my groom at today's wedding. Danny's fancy foot attire was a fun and fitting homage to the city of Naples, where he asked Rebecca to be his wife. This chilly April day was rendered bright and beautiful by a truly delightful couple and the warm, welcome courtesy of the stunning and it's amazing staff.With immortalising everything from behind the lens and adorning the scene with floral loveliness!

I love beginning work on a new ceremony scripy, reading through a couple's responses to my questions and shaping their ceremony in my head. There is the thrill of weaving together the prrfect wirds and the challenge of telling a love story in the most amazing way possible. I always have that moment when words seem to burst gorth too quickly to catch! With the advent of spring, the wedding season begins to truly take hold and I find myself dividing my time between dealing with documentation for civil weddings, crafting ceremonies and celebrating weddings in stunning settings (such as pictured courtesty of ) but putting those first words onto paper is always such a wonderful feeling!

Believed to date back to an ancient Chinese custom and later used by soldiers heading to war, on the road out of their hometowns as a promise they would return, love locks have long symbolised an unbreakable pledge or bond. A novel and film by Italian author Federico Moccia truly ignited this trend nearly 20 years ago, with couples in love writing their names on a padlock, then locking it to a lamppost or bridge, before throwing away the key. These days you will find lucchetti d'amore (love locks) attached to bridges, railings, gates, lampposts and just about any fixture that lends itself to this public demonstration of lasting love. On the day that truly symbolises love for many of us, to those celebrating a bond that has already stood the test of time, to those starting out on their journey through life together, to those waiting for love to find them and to anyone celebrate love in any of its myriad, amazing forms, I wish an unbreakable bond of forever love! Buon San Valentino!

These words very aptly sum up my 2022 wedding season...it was all a dream, every moment, from beginning to end! From the charming winery resort nestled among vineyards in Pompei, on a crisp February day, to the picturesque, pastel paradise of Positano on a surprisingly summery November afternoon, I have revisited much-loved places and caught up with old friends, while discovering beautiful new surroundings and finding new friends. I have been blessed to be a small part of many extraordinary occasions and I am exceptionally grateful to my brides and grooms for inviting me into such an important moment in their lives and to my colleagues (old and new) for the amazind sense of love, satisfaction and teamwork that comes from working together to make dreams come true. 2022 has been a year like no other for the world of weddings...a whirlwind of activity that has been occasionally challenging but always rewarding. Over the coming months I will give glimpses into the individual, amazing weddings and events I have witnessed (trying to acknowledge and thank everyone along the way) but for now I simply want to say one huge thank you - grazie - to everyone who has been a part of making my 2022 wedding season an absolute dream! ♡

Before and after (well, mid-way!)... today is a day dedicated to Saint Joseph and so, Father's Day, here in Italy. A day where everyone must indulge in at least one zeppola di San Giuseppe - fluffy balls of dough that are baked or fried then filled with deliciousness. I grew up celebrating UK Fathers Day and yes, my dad is there, but aa he is authentically Italian I feel certain I'm justified in sampling this delightful pustacchio-filled treat from as my way of saying Auguri!

Iain and Olivia's late autumn wedding in November was marked by breathtaking views, unseasonably stunning weather, an abundance of love and laughter and a generous helping of cute rubber ducks (of whom two suitably-attired representatives played an integral part in the ceremony). It was an intimate and incredibly lovely occasion that perfectly reflected and celebrated this very unique couple and I had so much fun creating their bespoke ceremony and telling their fabulous love story! I also learned that not every rubber duck is born knowing how to float...and, without getting technical, that a 5 cent piece can be very helpful as ballast!

Nicola and Luisa are partners in life and in pastry. This incredibly talented and absolutely lovely couple arranged the most amazing wedding while busy preparing their brand new cake lab and creating the amazing cakes for which they are becoming increasingly famous. They are proof that when two people balance and complete one another, magic is made! ♡ Nicola e Luisa sono partners nella vita e nel lavoro, sono pasticcieri di grande talento. Questa coppia di chef pasticcieri hanno organizzato un favoloso matrimonio nonostante fossero impegnati a creare il loro nuovo laboratorio e a preparare i loro deliziosi dolci grazie ai quali stanno avendo già un grande successo. Endings and beginnings... another year reaches its end and as we stand on the precipice of the brand new, unwritten year that stretches ahead of us, into the future, we do so with excitement, hope and not a little trepidation (given what has come before). We cannot know what lies ahead, we can only step forth with kindness, optimism and determination, ever grateful that even within the last two, extremely hard and often heartbreaking, obstacle-filled years we have lived through, there were spaces for magic, joy, laughter and love and feeling blessed that through difficulty and distress we have witnessed and received affection, care and support from places both expected and unexpected! To family, friends, colleagues, caring strangers and to all of my wonderful brides and grooms who leapt into love during the last 12 challenging months, thank you, and I wish you wonder and wellness in the year ahead. As they say here in Italy: 'a happy end and a happy beginning'!
