Let’s Av it guys

So, Santa’s made his rounds, we’ve all overindulged, spent time with the family and many of us watched Smiffy, Nessa and the Barry Island and Essex gangs final farewell ….. so now, what will you do? Well……

Why not drag yourself off that Sofa tonight, and join me from 8pm at Andover’s fabulous Foresters Arms for a night of post Xmas Fun for some Boxing Day shenanigans. I’ll be playing the usual mix of Club Classics and the biggest Party Anthems until the wee small hours.

AND THEN!

Catch me back on THE BIGGEST Night of The Year on New Years Eve from 8pm. Come and see the New Year in with the best people, the best atmosphere, the best music and at the BEST Party Night in Town.

Looking forward to hopefully seeing some of you there later 😊🪩💃🎄🕺

The Christmas get together for the Staff, Management and all the crew of Stoke Park was an absolute blast, last night.

As the guests arrived around 4pm, the amazing Roaming Buffet was welcomed by all and by 5.30 the party was in full swing. The fab team at The Foresters, Farnham Common ensured the drinks kept flowing and I mixed it up to keep the dancefloor jumping with a blend of 80’s and 90’s classics, some hands in the air Bhangra music and some crazy Christmas mashups
😊🎄🪩💃🕺

Merry Christmas and a huge Thanks to Phil, Anne and the team for their continued support, for choosing me as their preferred DJ and their fantastic hospitality.

Here’s wishing everyone at The Foresters and Stoke Park Happy Holidays and a great 2025

What a fantastic start to December 2024 !! This weekend saw the start to ‘Silly Season’ and we’ve had an awesome weekend of amazing parties!

First up we were at the fantastic Foresters, Farnham Common for a Christmas Party for their local Signature Care Homes. The party organised by Tina enjoyed the famous Foresters ‘Roaming Buffet’ where their waiting staff casually offer party guests their signature dishes that include canapés, mini fish and chips, sliders, mini chilli’s and much more whilst the guests mingle, drink and dance. We partied hard with the biggest Dance Anthems, a little Hindi Geet/Filmi, some Afro beats and those classic Crimbo tunes

Saturday saw us help celebrate a double 50th (🤫) birthday at the fabulous Departure Lounge Cafe for Glenn and his twin brother J - and it was a night where anything goes…. and most certainly did! 90’s boy bands and cheesy anthems had everyone singing and on the floor and we really didn’t want to stop when we had to. I’m also proud to have played several gigs for Glenn and Clare at their annual family Westival Event and parties and looking forward, with excitement, to Westival ‘25

Only two more weekends until the Big Fella in Red unleashes his Reindeer guys 😊🎄🎅🎁

Wow! What a month November was!!

We kicked off with a fantastic double 18th Birthday Party in the Chilterns in a most amazing home built garden pub and then ended the month with a night playing alongside DJ Paul Davies and DJ Andy Harvey as The Throwback Guys for our Pre Christmas Throwback Party in Cambridgeshire. In between we had played at The Grand Reopening of a wonderful Hotel just outside of Salisbury, an annual Awrds Ceremony for a Surrey Cricket Club plus some local parties.

We’re now into ‘Silly Season’ and December sees me mainly gearing up for loads of Christmas Parties as well as a very special Birthday Party this weekend for a very valued private client.

We’re now booking for 2025 and the enquiries are coming in thick and fast, so don’t leave it too late to book your event. Visit us online at www.stevierobb.com
to see our full range of Discos and Event Extras and get in touch today by DM, email or with a good old fashioned phone call 😊

Season Greetings everyone

WoW! Last nigh we journeyed into The Chilterns and had the absolute pleasure of entertaining the Twins, Harvey & Grace for their joint 18th Birthday ( and a belated celebration for their Dads birthday too 😊👍🏻).

Setting up in Jason’s ‘lockdown’ project …. his hand built garden pub, we had what will go down as one of the top 3 parties of 2024!

From (literally) the word Go, the party got off with a bang - and finished way, WAY past what we were booked for - but WOW, what a night.

Both Karl & I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Jason & Jane for their generous hospitality, for keeping us well hydrated (😉😊) and fed and thanks to ALL of the party goers who kept the dancefloor ( inside and out) rocking until the wee, early hours. We hope to see you all again soon

Party Time on a School Night, I hear you ask - hell yeah!

Had an absolutely awesome night, last night helping Phil and Anne (from The Foresters, Farnham Common ) who hosted a Halloween Party at their home for their son Spencer and his friends.

Complete with a fabulous Stilt Walker who did an amazing Fire Show, followed by a stunning firework display. Even the low fog machine got into the spooky mood and decided it wasn’t going to stop until we couldn’t see anything 😊😂😂

An incredible night and fun for everyone ( including me)

Avoid These DJ Disasters! DJ Justin’s Ultimate Tips for a Legendary Wedding Dance Floor!

Hey there, future Mr. and Mrs.! Justin here, your resident DJ from Rob Lawes Entertainments. I’m here to spill the tea on how to turn your wedding reception into an epic night that’ll have everyone talking (and nursing sore feet) for days. So let’s dive right into the must-dos and the absolute don’ts to make sure your big day ends on a high note, pun totally intended.

Do: Give Your DJ a Vibe, Not a Bible

We get it, you’ve got music taste! But remember, handing me a 100-song playlist is like handing me a musical prison sentence. You hired a DJ to make your life easier and your party better, so trust us to keep the night jumping. Tell me the kind of vibe you want: “We’re thinking ‘90s throwbacks” or “A mix of pop and classic rock that’ll get Aunt Edna and my college friends on the same dance floor.” Then, sit back and let me work the magic.

Don’t: Book a Cathedral for 40 People

Imagine this: your DJ’s cranking out Mr Brightside, but there are only 40 people scattered across a venue that could host the Olympics. Sound weird? That’s because it is weird. Huge venues swallow sound, and even the best DJ in the world can’t create a lively atmosphere if there’s enough space for a football game between the dance floor and the bar. A cozy venue, on the other hand, makes the energy electric!

Do: Don’t Skimp on the Pros, Hire That Photographer and Videographer!

Sure, Uncle Bob has a “nice camera,” but believe me, you’ll thank yourself later if you go for the pros. A professional photographer and videographer know how to capture every amazing moment, from your friends tearing it up on the dance floor to that impromptu conga line led by Grandma. These are the memories you’ll want to relive in crystal-clear detail, not as blurry blobs on someone’s phone! And trust me, once the night’s over, you’ll regret not having those incredible photos and videos to look back on.

Do: Allow for Some Surprises

Yes, you’ve chosen your song for the first dance, the father-daughter song, and maybe even a party starter or two, but give your DJ some room to read the crowd! You’ll be surprised how much a well-timed throwback hit can make even the grumpiest guest forget they’re holding a drink and just go for it. That’s the beauty of a pro DJ we know when to drop that guilty-pleasure tune that’ll get everyone moving.

Don’t: Turn Your DJ Booth into a Free-For-All Jukebox

Sure, your guests mean well when they keep suggesting “Play Sweet Caroline!” (spoiler: we will play it eventually). But too many requests turn your DJ into a musical order-taker, not the master of ceremony you hired us to be! If you want to encourage song requests, go ahead, but set a few boundaries, or you’ll end up hearing every “unique” song suggestion from here to Tuesday.

Do: Light Up the Party – Literally!

Adding light-up batons, glow sticks, or fun props like party shades can crank the atmosphere up by a mile! These small touches are absolute game-changers on the dance floor. Imagine your guests waving colorful glow batons during I Gotta Feeling, it turns a good party into a legendary one. And who doesn’t look fabulous in oversized shades? Plus, these props loosen up even the most shy guests, so before you know it, everyone’s letting loose and lighting up the night!

Don’t: Kill the Lights Too Soon

Mood lighting is your friend, and while those chandeliers may be dreamy, a little low lighting goes a long way. When people can see everyone else on the dance floor, they’ll feel shy about letting loose. But dim the lights just right, and bam they’re much more likely to go wild. Plus, I look even cooler with my DJ lights flashing in the dark.

Do: Be Open to a Little Cheese (Trust Me)

Look, there’s a reason why songs like YMCA and Don’t Stop Believin’ are crowd-pleasers. They bring people together, young and old. Even if it’s not your vibe, your grandma will light up when she hears a bit of ABBA, and before you know it, she’s showing your cousin’s date how to properly twirl to Dancing Queen. Trust me, a sprinkle of cheese is like salt it makes everything tastier.

The Serious Party Pooper: Drunk Guest Drama

Alright, here’s a serious tip: Don’t let your party be hijacked by that one drunk guest. You know the type, maybe it’s your cousin, maybe it’s your college buddy, or maybe it’s a complete wild card. They start out requesting a song or two, but before long, they’re giving me cut-throat gestures from the middle of the dance floor, demanding I stop the song they don’t like. It’s awkward, it’s distracting, and, yep, sometimes it can even get a little…threatening!

Look, I’m all for the energy and enthusiasm, but if this guest becomes too much, I’ll have no choice but to pause the party until they’re escorted out my booth area. I’m here to make sure everyone has a good time, and that means I can’t have one person spoiling the mood. Let’s keep the fun rolling and leave the drama for the soap operas!

Bonus Pro-Tip: Offer your DJ a trip to your buffet or a soft drink (Hey, we’re Human too)

This may sound trivial, but a fed DJ is a happy DJ. If I’m well-fed, I’m more likely to stay energized and throw my all into those last few hours. Plus, a hungry or thirsty DJ isn’t exactly the life of the party. So toss a little love my way, and I’ll make sure every second is unforgettable.

In summary: Trust your DJ, embrace a little spontaneity, keep things cozy, add some fun props, handle that one guest, and whatever you do don’t hand me a list longer than my arm or give me a dance floor in a different postcode from the bar. Follow these tips, and we’ll be lighting up that dance floor!!

Zoe & Connor celebrated their Wedding Day in style at a lovely little hidden gem in Blackmoor, yesterday, with family and friends travelling far and wide to be there with them.

I was privileged to provide their entertainment - packed with the cheesiest party anthems that packed the dancefloor from start to finish and saw smiling faces on everyone. We also added a cheeky surprise for their 1st dance, that only Connors Dad and I knew about - The Sparkular Spectacular! and the Ooo’s, Aaah’s and Gasps when I first fired them made it worthwhile.

Huge thanks to Micky for entrusting me to entertain you all and especially to
my ‘right hand’ man Karl Curtis who spent most of the evening sorting our van out - after we had to abandon it with a blow out on the way to the event, but he sorted it so we could pack away and load out on time.

Congratulations to the Happy Couple and hope to see you all again soon

I had the distinct pleasure of being alongside the fabulous 19Eighties band to help celebrate the wedding of Chris & Helen at the wonderful New Place Hotel, Hampshire - managed by Legacy Hotels & Resorts, last night, and WoW…..What a night!

As usual Marcos, Johanna and Lenin (the 19Eighties) were on top form - bringing those 80’s party vibes and getting the dancefloor rockin and setting the scene for the best party anthem session from yours truly to bring the evening to a close. The newlyweds and their family & friends, jumped, bounced and could have brought the roof down with their singing and antics towards the end 😊👍🏻🪩🕺💃

A massive thank you to the amazing attentive and supportive staff at the venue for looking after us and to Marcos and the band for always entrusting stevierobb.com to support you.

Congratulations to the happy couple - wishing you both many years of happiness ahead

After a fabulous evening, last night, helping Julian and Christina celebrate their Engagement, I find myself in Canary Wharf with some ‘kit’ for The Pride Of Britain Awards, followed by a mad dash back to get ready for a cool Wedding Reception this evening working alongside Marcos Alegria and the fantastic 19Eighties band, once more. Ooh, I need a holiday 😂😂😂😂

We had the absolute pleasure in helping Debs celebrate her birthday in style at the fabulous Harleyford Golf Club alongside the amazing 19Eighties band and, from TV’s Stars In Their Eyes, Tony as that wonderful Welsh crooner - Tom Jones.

A great night was had by all and I’m sure there will be some very sore feet tomorrow

Huge Thanks goes out to Marcos, Johanna and Lenin (who are THE 19Eighties band) for everything, to the fantastic staff at the venue and to Debs and her husband John for your generous hospitality.

Happy Birthday Deb 😊🥳🍾🥂💃
