Planning this year's wearable Lobster for the Ninigret Seafood Festival. I am experimenting with using a chain weave for the arms of the large claws,. I made the chain several weeks ago to test how long it would last. Looks good. Now I add a 648 for the claws to test how well it handles the weight. Forgive garish colors since this is a prototype I am just grabbing available balloons

This is a "missing Ernie" post. I was working round my taxes with YouTube in the background.
YouTube started playing songs from the Viet Nam era while showing pictures of troops in the boonies. I i looked up and saw that troop had been allowed to walk on the heels of the guy in front of them (ideal for someone to ambush them. I reached for my phone saying that Ernie had to see this one. Sally called out: "He won't answer. He has left us for a while. " Aw crap!" I am still adapting

This was the lobster built for the Ninigret Seafood festival this year.We didn't notice that the Portapotties were sharing the screen. Great event . Some families were telling me that they had posed with the lobster every year for the past 3 or 4.

Yesterday, Sally and I met the newest granddaughter, Livy Marie Dwyer. She is doing well. Kip and Kaila are hoping for more sleep. Livy is Sally's first granddaughter by blood and Livy will receive the benefit of grandmother training given by our west coast contingent as well as our East coast

Here is the head of a Gorilla. I am using Buster Balloon Caldwell's design as shown on the DVD Big-Bad. I will build the rest of the beast later. I just wanted to show progress before anything went terribly awry. Buster's design is work leading to a great result. On a related topic has anyone built a zoo of the large balloon an8imal designs that we have available?

Used the OMG technique from the Balloon Brothers. I think this might have just become my party teddy. so I have the one balloon line work teddy, the party teddy and the decor piece (also shown).

This was delivered to a Bridal Shower this past weekend. The customer loved it. It turned into a mix. I built the spiral arch with standard size components (i.e. traditional structure). Meanwhile, Sally built a bunch of leaves based upon designs by Falcone. Adding the leaves inserted an organic look. I am always of two minds around the organic. Sometimes it just looks chaotic. Nature is always of alternating levels. One level may look chaotic ; however, you discover that it is quite structured one level down or one level up. I think Sally hit it here. We have the chaotic springing from the structured. The arrangement and size of the leaves is chaotic while each life is built using repeating structure.
