Artist/songwriter/Entertainer Marquis is coming from a single parent home and rose with three other siblings. Marquis’

Marquis Dunn AKA Grand Marquis was born June 19 1988 in Nyack NY and raised in the Bronx, Spring Valley, and the state of Virginia. Like many families he lived a life of survival but this didn’t stop him from dreaming. He always had a whole different world in his head to carry him through the rough times. Marquis got into music as a child by playing the piano, drums, and clarinet all by ear. This

led him to start recording himself on a tape deck. He knew he had a talent that would someday get him and his family into a place where they did not have to struggle. Marquis stays influenced by Jay Z and listening to his favorite songs: Money, power and Respect. Hip hop and rap has become Marquis‘s life and will continue to be until he can no longer rap into the microphone. Until his family is in a better place where there is no struggle he will push his talent to higher places.
