Happy World Breastfeeding Month 🫶🏼

We are 14 months into our breastfeeding journey and it is still one of the most rewarding parts of my motherhood journey.
It's bloody hard work at the start, you both have to learn, you're exhausted and your sole job is now keeping this tiny human alive - sometimes it's bloody hard work now, being the one thing that will always bring comfort (that part is also really special though).
Another thing, whether you chose to not breastfeed at all, you weren't able to, or you stopped at whatever time, you're still an absolute rockstar and your baby is healthy, happy and loved. Mum's are the best 💁🏼‍♀️

Have you thought about your ceremony kiss? 💋
Here's why you should 👇🏼

For the first kiss after your celebrant announces you married, you want to make sure you hold that kiss for a few seconds - enough time for your photographer to capture the moment for you.

Also, it can be a little daunting and maybe you might feel awkward having to kiss in front of all you guests - having this part practiced will help it feel more natural to you in the day because you'll know exactly where to put your hands and who's head might be going in what direction! (Remember it doesn't have to be intense, but you do want to hold the moment)

If you want to have a dip as part of your aisle kiss, and you want to nail it like Jess and Bryce did, this definitely needs to be practiced! Check my stories for a handy video on how to execute!

All that said, you can absolutely live in the moment (I also highly recommend that) and just go with the flow of your day.
You're only really going to remember the immense love your surrounded by, and the happiness you feel marrying the love of your life 🫶🏼

A bit of rain couldn't stop this day from being absolutely perfect!

With a quick change from Queens Gardens to the absolutely stunning backdrop at Hastings Haus, Brooke and Sam's day ran flawlessly. Stunning and timeless white florals and statement black and white pieces of signage and table decor troughout the reception tied everything together perfectly.

WEDNESDAY WEDDING TIP ✨

Start booking your vendors as soon as you've picked in your date. Just because you book a vendor 18 months in advance, it's doesn't mean you have to plan your wedding 18 months in advance, you are just ensuring you have the vendors that you want.

Also, if you have your heart set on certain vendors, be prepared to be flexible (have either multiple dates OR be prepared to pick from dates they have available) and book them in as soon as you can.

You can definitely plan a wedding in a short timeframe but it does limit your options - if you don't have your heart set on certain vendors, than this is nothing to worry about.

Starting to lock in your vendors about about 18 months in advance is an ideal time frame - to give you maximum choice of vendors and location.

ALSO - pay your deposits when they are due.

AND - be kind and respectful of your vendors (they are people with families).
