Pssstttt... just a friendly reminder that your ring bearer should doesn't REALLY carry the rings! The best man does.

Even if they are an older ring bearer... even if they are objectively a relaxed kiddo that won't freak out walking down the aisle...

It's gonna be a big hell Nah from me, girlfriend. Don't risk it!

Instead, have them carry a sweet sign. These days, the ring bearer and flower girl roles are more of a way to include those younger family members that mean so much to you (rather than actually fulfilling a big responsibility!)

And while we are on the topic of small children & reminders, remember to have a trusted adult sitting in the front row that your ring bearer and flower girl can go sit with during the ceremony! It seems like such a simple detail but it really is important that they know the person they are supposed to sit with, so they don't get scared, and they aren't fidgety throughout your whole ceremony 😉

Let's talk invites babe. I'm not going to sugarcoat it... creating the guest list can suck. It forces you to think about
relationships, family drama, or how many people would be mad if you don’t give them a plus one.

Some of you may know exactly who you want to invite- in which case, huge kudos because this will
be a lil’ bit easier for you. However, some of you may battle your parents wanting to invite
their neighbors you’ve never met or a long-lost aunt you’ve only met once in your life.

The best way to tackle this is by categorizing your guests.

First you have the VIPs. These are family members and your ride or dies.

Then you have your B list. These are people that get the invite if they fit in your budget. You won't push the envelope for them.

Then we have the plus ones. You need to determine if you’ll allow plus ones and if so what is the criteria. In my experience, most of my brides have only offered a plus one if their guest is in a long-term relationship, not a recent casual fling. It is A-OK not to give people a plus one. At the end of the day, it’s your wedding and your money, so it’s your decision and they have to deal with it... okay?

Back with another pro tip and this time we are talking all about décor!

Not a lot of people think about this, but make sure you are double-checking your venue contracts for decor restrictions. Not only decor restrictions but if you have a big install make sure you have clarified with your vendors how long it will take and check that contract for your setup time.

Trust me babe you do not want someone telling you no on your wedding day, plan ahead!
