It has been an absolute pleasure working with on their annual Supplier Conference and 50th Anniversary Celebration. YPO is committed to becoming net zero by 2038, and Legacy is proud to work with them and support them on this journey. Congratulations on a fabulous event!

YPO chose the in Bradford as their venue for this event due to it's commitment to social value. All proceeds from The LIFE Centre's events go towards charitable and social projects within the Bradford community. COP27 is well underway, with over 120 world leaders coming together to discuss some of the most ambitious goals in helping to tackle the climate emergency. This couldn't happen without hard work from those involved in the events industry, who provide a forum for these crucial global conversations to take place.

The president hopes COP27 will help see the pledges from Glasgow implemented on time and at the scale previously agreed. Since the first COP event back in 1995, we have seen agreements such as the Green Climate Fund and the Glasgow Climate Pack put in place to help tackle the climate crisis. With the current global issues we are facing, such as the energy crisis, we hope COP27 can deliver on their goals of Mitigation, Adaptation, Finance & Collaboration so we can start to see positive change.

📰 Our talks about the need for urgency “to meet the COP26 target of keeping global warming to a maximum of 1.5C above the pre-industrial levels.” 📰

It also talks about how the 2050 target for net-zero emissions is “too far away” and there is a need to push it forward.
The UK aims to persuade other nations to follow suit and sign the target in the upcoming COP26 summit .

It is more important now than ever before that we do something to tackle climate change. Companies are one of the many that needs to step up their game and make more sustainable and greener changes to make a bigger positive impact.

"I help nightclubs be more sustainable. AMA."

Hello! My name is Hadi Ahmadzadeh and I am the founder of sustainable nightlife company ecodisco. My expertise is mainly in implementing reusable cup systems and eradicating single-use waste from music venues and events. Ecodisco is based in London, UK and our goal is to eradicate single-use culture and ghg emissions from the UK nightlife scene. Our primary focus is on urban nightlife but we also work with festivals and other one-off events.

My passion for sustainable nightlife emerged when throwing parties in South London. I felt that the waste produced by the events contradicted all of the positive elements that we all enjoy so much. I launched ecodisco as London's first commercial club night to remove single-use plastics and in early 2020 converted it into a sustainable nightlife consultancy.

📰 Our is all about AR and VR. 📰 This article from Forbes talks about how Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality could be the “next big thing” in the meeting and events industry.
The use of AR and VR provides an interactive and immersive experience how you can use it anywhere in the world which not only means all attendees can use it, but it also takes away expensive travel and venue costs.

Even though in-person events are starting to make a comeback, online events and conferences will continue to be a big part of businesses. Adding the innovation and immersive experience of AR and VR, it would not only reduce costs, but also add excitement to hybrid events!

Michelle has been in the weddings and events industry for two decades and over that time she has built up a wealth of knowledge. She has been running her own successful events and wedding agency since 2009 and understands the challenges that companies in the industry face, when thinking about how they can be more sustainable, and reduce their environmental impact.

She founded the Sustainable Wedding Alliance in 2020, with the aim to drive change to create a more sustainable wedding industry. Raising awareness and tackling climate change and attitudes, by proactively encouraging businesses to develop future thinking strategies and make responsible decisions.

"The downtime that the pandemic forced on the wedding and events industry gave me the time and headspace to be able to develop the Alliance. It was clear to me that there was a need for a place where people could come together, learn about how they could make their businesses more sustainable, share their experiences and help each other.”
