We did it. Key of G smashed our Manchester half marathon. Average pace of just over 7m30 per km and a finish time of 2hrs 46m. Finished with Oasis playing in our ears in Manchester and raised £524 for charity. Thank you all for your amazing support.

Great gig tonight at our favourite venue Smile Bar & Venue in Huddersfield. Absolute pleasure to support the brilliant The Marley Experience . Got some lovely feedback from a great Smile crowd who were up and dancing from the first track. Thank you to all our new followers.

We’ve stepped up our training today. We’ve managed 16km in preparation for our Manchester half marathon in 2 weeks time. Well we’re busy gigging over in Manchester tonight but we’re also busy training for our half marathon on Sunday 13th Oct.
This is a completely different challenge and fitting runs in amongst work and gigs is taking a lot of energy and dedication but we really think the Alzheimer’s Society that we’re raising money for is worth it. We managed to run in the heat of Spain on holiday and our favourite route is the 12km loop from home up past the Emley Mast. If you haven’t yet had chance to donate, we would really appreciate you visiting our Just Giving page to donate whatever you can. We’re on £85 out of our target of £300 at the moment so as we ramp up the training we hope our friends and followers will do the same with their wonderful generosity. Thank you everyone.

We are very excited to share with you all that we will be running the Manchester Half Marathon on the 13th October to raise money for Alzheimer’s UK. This is a charity that is close to our hearts and has supported close friends and colleagues.
Our target is to raise a minimum of £300 for the charity and we would be grateful for any donations that you are kind enough to give. If you could share this post around that would be great too!

Well that’s a bank holiday weekend wrap for Key of G. 3 great gigs over 2 days at 3 brilliant venues. Massive thanks to Shoulder of Mutton Briestfield , Victoria park meltham and The Queens Head Tavern Halifax. We’ve had a great bank holiday weekend and will be having a rest and enjoying tomorrow. Key of G are really looking forward to a busy bank holiday weekend. The weather might not be great but we hope to brighten things up with our energy and music.

Great to be behind my drums with the Time Travellers at Woodsome Hall Golf Club for Woodfest 2024. Unfortunately Kaytie-jo Genty was gigging elsewhere and we missed her but great gig to a great crowd.

Not our usual post but it’s A level results day today! Very proud to say that , often our 3rd member of Key of G, and the best sound tech we could wish for, James Genty, has achieved a merit from college and a merit in his Grade 5 theory which means he has everything he needs to continue his professional journey as an amazing drummer at LIPA in Liverpool from September. Really proud of him and the work he has put in to achieve everything he has done in the past 2 years. Go and make the most of this amazing opportunity. 🎵🎶🥁🎶🎵

We had an amazing sunny outdoor gig at Uplands Inn Cartmel yesterday and had everybody dancing through into the evening ☀️🎶🎉

Well we’re back from our wonderful holiday in Spain, nicely tanned and ready to get gigging again this weekend. We’re really looking forward to being back at the wonderful Uplands Inn Cartmel this Sunday. Such a beautiful spot and the weather is set to be warm so come along and enjoy some music with us hopefully outside in the garden. If you can’t wait until then Kaytie-jo Genty will be appearing at the Smile Bar & Venue in Huddersfield tonight!
