Tonight is an extra special eclipse party at Vertex! I'll be playing dark music in a mostly dark room with people dressed in dark clothing! Ok, so a usual Saturday night. But I do have some extra eclipse glasses if you need a pair for Monday! See you on the dance floor (unless it's too dark)

My sets have felt really chaotic to me the last few months. I've been dealing with increased migraine/headache issues and tried a few different meds to mitigate their impact (with minimal success) but it's been challenging. Some nights it also seems to affect my perception and it can be difficult to really "hear" how to the music sounds. One of the things I do to help me get through the night is to take a gummy or smoke and drink less when I'm DJing. That helps with the headache but can make it harder to deliver a coherent set, it also makes me more willing to try new things which don't always work, but it can be fun to push my boundaries (after all, it is called pressing "Play"). I'm still working on this and hopefully I'll be able to come up with a workable solution so I can squeeze out a few more years of DJing. Either that or I'm just getting old and it's time to start slowing down a bit. 😛

Mother nature has not been kind to us on Saturday nights in 2024 but Vertex is open tonight and I will be DJing. We'll be there if you decide to head out but please be careful, your safety is more important than your support! I'll likely be broadcasting if you feel like tuning in after 10.
