I hesitated to post this quote on the grounds no-one would believe it’s genuine.
All I can say it is absolutely genuine.

"I cannot recommend Swing the Bridge highly enough. Their quote was very competitive and they provided 5 musicians (others only provided 2 or 3) so it was a great sound. Communication in advance was great and they arrived with bags of time to set up. As to the ceilidh, everyone from age 2yrs to 98 yrs thought it was fantastic, either joining in or watching. Confirmed non-dancers were up on the floor and loving it! So much fun. If you are thinking about something for an event then book Swing the Bridge and you won't be disappointed!"

SWING THE BRIDGE is an Experienced, Energetic and Professional 5-piece Folk/Rock Ceilidh Band comprising Pip Ives (Melodeon), Gemma Gayner (Violin), Geoff Sandiford (Bass Guitar), Neal Adams (Drums) and Martin Young (Guitar and Caller to teach you the dances, all in good humour).

There are at least three ceilidh bands, that we know of, claiming to be....

We make no such claim but who is to say we are not?! It’s up to you

and tell us whether we’re the UK’s leading ceilidh band!

· We play lively traditional tunes in a fresh, modern way often coupled with a more up to date tune or song which might offer one or two surprises and.....

· To enhance the atmosphere we have our own lighting.

Disco Packages

· We encourage our clients to book our ceilidh band and a separate disco package. While it might seem, in booking a ceilidh/disco package, that the total cost of your night would be slightly cheaper than booking them separately, we do not pretend to have the know-how of a dedicated and experienced DJ and we do not compromise simply to make more money. It is important that you have the very best entertainment and experience that we can offer. We are a ceilidh band. That’s what we do best.

· However, clients are welcome to play their own music through our pa system via ipod etc.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend SWING THE BRIDGE : their playing at our wedding's evening reception was one of our favourite parts of the day! Our guests loved it too and the dance floor was packed the whole evening. SWING THE BRIDGE is a great band to hire if you want everyone up dancing, young and old (and in between!) They're a talented band and happy to turn their hand to a variety of music - perfect for us with a mix of Scottish, English & Irish guests.
