As always a massive thank you to everyone who came to the Central Bar last night and joined in the music and fun antics πππΌπ¬π·π€
Another one of those slow start nights ( latecomers paradise..the joy of eating late π) but fair to say we soon got busy with more amazing people up for the craic .. especially the hecklers who decided to sit at different locations and bombard me from all sides ..you know who you are π ππ
We had our usual trip down memory lane ( for those old enough to remember and despite the Barfly and the other half's short protest about the Eddy Grant classic... Bloody heathens π) with some classics from the 60s 70s 80s and a bit of the 90s before hitting the fabled volunteers section with a vengeance.
First up as usual was our beautiful ladies π and for them I went with the old Robert Palmer classic Addicted to love.. so it was straight forward routine for them...well so I thought, but no could they get it in time ..no ..could they do it all together..no ... So we had two sets of dancers, one doing one thing and the others ..well, doing their own thing πππ but we still had fun tho and it amused me no end π.. Bravo ππΌππΌππΌππΌ
Next up the men, and it was Madness Baggy Trousers skanking routine for them ...and I have to say out of the five the young London boy was definitely way in front ππ and our old ska head ..well.lets just say that the amount of alcohol consumed affected his " performance" ( and I can safely say there was no chance of kinky s*x afterwards with his good lady..he couldn't raise a smile at the end of the night never mind anything else.. listen, she agreed with me πππ) but as always the guys gave a fantastic display and no CPR was needed for any of the volunteers ππ
Big shout out to all the dancers, we even had some the cheap seats come across and shake their stuff .. fantastic π€© π
After that it was straight into the self explanatory full audience participation section..sadly we did have some non participants, thankfully the many very much outweighed the very few π..and it was a crotch grabbing Sweet Blockbuster classic for them and a classic hands in the air like you just don't care extravaganza.. fanf**kintastic stuff people πππΌπ€£π¬π·π€
Then it was something a lot different for the Central Bar as I was persuaded to do a torch waving rendition of Angels ππ. Apologies if I missed a few notes on the upper scale..vocal tiredness is real and at this point of the season it's a bloody curse and a Vocalists nightmare π’π’π¬π·π€ but I humbly thank everyone who got their phones out and joined in .. a special mention to the boooo table ( yes there's always one π) and after that it was the usual end of the night Neil Diamond classic to round of a pleasant night for me π.
Big shout out to Kristo Menga and the team for doing their stuff and to the Barfly for his traffic management duties πππΌπ¬π·π€ also to everyone who was amused, abused entertained and confused ... Especially the dancers, the chancers and the true romancers..I look forward to more abuse from you next week ya buggers .. you definitely know who you are π ππππ¬π·π€
