Well that's another mad night at the Irish house Stalis over and another cracking night๐๐ผ
I had the pleasure of meeting and entertaining more amazing music and fun loving people. As I always do unlike to start nice and slow and ease my way into the night , and that's exactly what I did.
The highlights for me are always the volunteers section and the full audience participation bit and I have to say we certainly got our volunteers.. funny how the lure of the preciousssssss ๐ much sought after JBV keyrings brings them forward ๐๐
First up was our men.. five brave fighting for ready for action souls ( well four at least were fighting fit ) ๐ which Included a fellow Glaswegian ๐๐๐๐ผ anyway, it was the standard three step kick routine for them ( it was going to be a Ska-fest but as one was a lot more senior than the others๐ and there wasn't a doctor in the house , I opted for the easy and safer routine) ๐๐๐ผ๐๐๐ So after a brief instruction and demonstration the music kicked in and of they went ... Now, what's a pretty standard easy routine suddenly became this complex bizzare part ballet freestyle routine with hints of genius thrown in ๐ ๐ ..guys you were brilliant and made me laugh and ina strange twist of fate I actually loved it ๐.. it was certainly different.. a lot different than I'd imagined.. especially the youngster who at the end of the so g literally ran back to his seat ..minus his preciousssssss gift( I did take it to him tho ) ๐๐
Next up was the ladies.. we had a few on the Newcastle who were up for the Saturday night Salsa train ๐ ๐ ๐๐ผ
So it was the magnificent 7 as seen in the photo.. or was it was it actually 8. I'm sure there was another hiding in the toilet who joined us ๐ค๐. anyhooooo, instructions given , backchat from one about it being a congratulations ๐.. thing eshe missed the instructions about the Salsa moves ๐ so as the salsa beat kicked in the Saturday night Salsa ass shaking limb throwing express ๐ left the depot and boy they didn't miss a beat.
There was even a slight detour due o the driver deciding the other route was better ๐ So four times around the bar it was and ladies you were fanf**kintastic.. no shortage of ass shaking or dancing from you ๐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ผ
So after a little one song respite.. it was full audience participation section ( as I always explain, it s called that because it requires.. wait for it ..... The full audience to participate) ๐๐๐ fair to say we had 85% join in as a few who decided it was too much like hard work to stand up and join on ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ญ๐๐... So a humungous thank you to all you brave souls who helped me rule the world ๐ ๐๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
As always, we had to ask about that strange chic called Alice before hitting the glam 70s and both tracks certainly got you moving ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ and sadly as always, time catches up and my night of music and fun antics are over.
A big shout out and thanks to Sticky Vicky our ping pong ball queen for not only volunteering but also for taking the men's photo for me ๐.. thank sweetcheeks ๐๐๐ผto all the Newcastle ladies Mafia, the Peterborough crew , the Glasgow team and to everyone else who took part or attended especially those who took the time to chat with me before, during and after the show .. you know who you are ๐ ( apologies for forgetting where you came from to anyone else , but drop me a comment and I'll give you a mention)
