Why do you need a wedding coordinator?

A WC acts as your personal stress reliever, shouldering the burden of logistics so you can focus on the joy of your special day. Coordinating with various vendors is a necessary part of wedding planning, but it can also be a logistical nightmare

I love the joy I feel when helping couples have their dream wedding. No matter the budget, the guest list, the venue, or the style; my goal is to make sure it’s done their way!

I love sharing points of view and professional opinions on hot topics. Emily Person Photography is one of my favorite photographers to work with and she always does an outstanding job.

One of the hardest questions to answer when planning your wedding is:

Should I have a first look?

Ultimately, it’s your wedding and it’s up to you but from the photographer’s view point here are a few things to consider when making this decision ⬇️

1. You have a LOT happening on your wedding day. From an early wake up call for the glam team to the late night dancing with your DJ and everything in between, wedding days can be long! In the middle of all of that, you smile approximately 7,459 times 🤪 When choosing a first look, you are able to knock out so many Bride & Groom portraits while your smiles are still fresh and before all of the family pictures!

2. Having a first look allows you to enjoy a moment together alone and to take in the beauty of the day. No pressure, no added nerves, and a moment to breathe with just you and your person.

3. Another reason to consider having a first look is to start your reception sooner! By the time you finish your ceremony and family formals most couples are so hungry! All they can think about is getting a glass of water and food. By having a first look, you can take all large portion of the Bride and Groom photos, Bridal Party, and immediate family pictures before any guests arrive. This can give you extra time during cocktail hour to socialize, a few minutes alone with your new husband, or simply start your reception sooner.

Love this cake trend that serves as a centerpiece, favor, and dessert! It’s creative and thoughtful and helps make sure there is no wasted wedding cake. Extra shout out to the MOB at this wedding that lovingly baked all the cakes! Wow! 💗

When we got married we asked several ladies at our church to bake their specialty cakes and it was a big hit. Can you think of your favorite cake or pie? I’m sure someone in both families have specialties.
