Making sure only the best blooms make it out to customers is my number one priority!
There are a lot of things to look for when inspecting the quality of blooms before sending them out such as:
-insect bites
-being past proper harvesting stage
-a misshapen petal or two
-or a very short stem.

When I find this, I love to harvest them for myself instead 🥰 These are Peaches and Cream dahlias & perfect or not, they still bring me joy on our kitchen table 💐

I’m loving this new dahlia variety called Rejmans Polish Kid…it’s so unique & adds a lot of fun to an arrangement with its striking contrast of deep red petals & white tips!

Made a bouquet for my sweet neighbor today 🥰💗 they got a new puppy that I’ve been dying to meet so I brought something beautiful from the garden in return for puppy lovings…not a bad deal if I do say so myself 💐

This year has been such a blessing in so many ways! I’ve been challenged like I never imagined, worked harder than I knew possible & learned so much about both flowers and my self. I’m proud of the work put into this field & grateful to have such a strong support system behind me to push me towards my goals. Here’s a quick little walk through the flower field- the place I get the pleasure of working in daily & my little slice of heaven on Earth 💐💗

We’ve got dahlias starting to bloom & the zinnia beds will be bursting with color in the next week 💐 I’ll be posting a garden tour soon to show you the progress the field has made so far. You will be amazed!! I hope everyone is having a fantastic week & staying cool!

& that’s a wrap for the week!! 💐
We’ve planted 697 seedlings, 100+ directly sown seeds, 90 bulbs & 54 tubers so far! In full bloom, the field is going to be nothing short of magical 💗
Zinnias, cosmos, carnations, celosia, ageratum, sweet Annie, hollyhocks, gladioli’s, sunflowers, dahlias, strawflower, snapdragons, statice & so much more!! We’ve got more seeds started in the grow room & lots of succession plantings planned for staggered harvests throughout the season.

Farming of any kind requires a vision, a lot of hard work & faith that it will all come to fruition in time. It’s been a tough but fulfilling week in the field & I am so excited to share the beauty of it all with you this summer.
I also want to say thank you to every person who’s taken the time to like, follow & share our page here on Facebook 💗 this farm is our dream & the support of our community is just as important as the flowers themselves. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! 🙏💐

Today we have a beautifully blank canvas 🎨 This will be the flower fields first year in production and I’m so excited to share the journey with my fellow flower lovers. Over the last 8-10 weeks I’ve already learned so much about growing flowers (mostly the hard way 😂) and I’ve truly just fallen more and more in love with the process of these little miracles.
When we purchased this property 1 1/2 years ago, I knew flowers would be in my future somewhere! I quickly found a part time job at a flower farm to see if this was what I reallllly wanted…I knew immediately, yes. A couple of months later I found a wonderful wedding florist that needed some help with wedding installations on the weekends & that was just the cherry on top 🍒 Any moment I wasn’t working on the farm, helping with installs, or tending to my own very (very) small flower patch…I was watching flower videos, listening to flower farmer podcasts, reading books & scrolling through all of the flower Facebook groups I’d joined searching for any crumbs of knowledge. Obsessed was/is an understatement. The world of flowers has opened my eyes, my mind, and my heart to new possibilities.
I have huge dreams for this land. Huge dreams within my community. And most importantly, huge dreams for myself. I would be so honored to have you follow along…to watch my wins & learn from my mistakes (although we don’t believe in mistakes on this farm - only lessons). And I would be so honored to serve you the next time you need blooms for any occasion 💗
