What a night !

Thank you so much, you all really brought the energy and it was incredible to share such a special event with you.
We're still a bit speechless.... 🤩 Anthony loved playing to you all and he also experienced that something special.

A big thank you to all the other artists who played, with small intimate events it's incredibly difficult to balance out the headliner with the overall costs to be able to make these events happen. Without the promoters, crew and all artists taking part for the love of it and not profit, these small electro events in Birmingham would not take place.
So if you love to see electro events in Birmingham, show your support when you can!

Next up: we have plaid at the hare on the 15th of Dec. Ticket link in bio! We'll also be looking forward to the stunning Oscillate at pan pan.

Last but definitely not least, we would like to introduce you to two names that complete our exciting lineup supporting Anthony Rother on the 18th of November at ;

A cities underground music environment relies on the small community that prop it up. Those who spend their time collecting records, putting on parties & making sure the beating pulse of the city remains steady. Matt has been collecting, promoting & playing for the Birmingham crowd for many many years. His extended sets of hypnotic and percussion lead electronica are now a staple across the cities clandestine parties. Understated, but always there, keeping the pulse steady.

2023 has been the year of the Croft. With multiple releases now under his belt; two of which on Voigtmann’s Subsequent imprint, and a slamming new mix for the MASS crew. But the party train doesn’t stop there, you can catch him on the 18th November playing a special b2b with his long time friend - Matt Jones.

We can't wait to have them play in The Data Mine !

Subcitizen has constantly been up to electronic musical mischief for over 30 years. From pushing underground music through record shops and distribution, to promoting club nights across a defined set of genres and stage managing for countless legendary djs and acts at award winning venues.
A voracious vinyl addict for the glitchiest examples of his chosen genres - techno, electro, electronica, breakcore and the most broken of minimal techno.
Teaming up with Defunkt Dialekt for the outrageously forward thinking techno project ‘Cult of Black Noise’, and releases of their electro project ‘Citizen Dialekt’ coming soon, he’s sure to pull some heavyweight beats from his towering wall of vinyl.

EKATA is a London based DJ/Producer + Natural Selection Resident who's productions are characterised by their dark and atmospheric soundscapes, driven by pulsating rhythms and intricate synth work.

EKATA is self-described as genre & sound obsessive building a reputation as a huge advocate for Electro.
She's had releases on Avoidant, Burial Soil & CHP to name a few, plus her debut solo release is due for release next month on highly esteemed Censor Records.

EKATA mainly steers towards the darker and eerier side of the genre in her sets, taking influences from sci-fi films whilst only playing tracks that work together to tell a story. She never fails to take you on a dark and twisted journey through incredibly dystopian, ominous grooves and obvious sci-fi fixations which embody her carefully picked selections.

Already playing at some of the best clubs in the world.. TRESOR, FOLD, E1 & KILOMÈTRE25 to name a few, plus also joining us for 2 years in a row at Shambala, we can't wait to have her back with us.

Plaid are an English electronic music duo composed of Andy Turner and Ed Handley.

The innovative duo have been expanding the realm of electronic music as Plaid since they diverged from trio 'The Black Dog' in the early 90s.

Plaid sit right at the very heart of global electronica. In fact there's a very real sense in which Ed Handley and Andy Turner are the perfect encapsulation of what the electronic music of their generation was all about. As Plaid and as two-thirds of The Black Dog, they were central to the “Artificial Intelligence” movement of the early-mid 1990s: alongside their WARP stablemates Autechre, Aphex Twin, B12 and allies like Richie Hawtin, Speedy J, Kenny Larkin, they brought new rhythmic variation, emotive melody and sensual textures to electronic music, creating a warm and welcoming counterpart to the white heat of the rave explosion.

Their sound palette has got broader over the years, their techniques more sophisticated – but their focus has remained the same: intricate but always grooving rhythm, immersive listening experience and melodies and sound design that connect direct to the emotional centres.

We can't wait to welcome them to Birmingham for this incredibly special event. Don't miss it !

Introducing this events Live Act

Paul Hierophant -Hierophant Records Born in London, Paul started out in the late 80's as a club DJ. then record shop manager, then producer.

Since those early DJ gigs, Paul's underlying motivation has and always will be the music; ambient, hip hop, breakbeat, soul, funk, dub, boogie, electro, and Detroit techno-urban music with deep roots, social conscience, and soul.

His live sets are powered by modular synthesis, analog drum machines, effects pedals and bass; dub techno meets electro meets ambient meets Hierophant.

Paul's "State of Play" radio show, that started on pirate radio in 1991, is currently on Threads radio and will return when Threads move to their new studio.

Following his recent split release with Morphology on Exalt records Paul has now restarted Hierophant Records with releases scheduled for early 2023...

We also have the amazing AURA NOX over from Italy, BINARY FUNCTION along with KIM COSMIK, ADJ, BROKEN JOE, DRPS, PAUL HIEROPHANT( live) , MATT JONES.
The first event will be on Saturday 8th October at Centrala, Birmingham with The Data Mine Crew and then in London on Sunday 9th October at The Glove That Fits, London for the Hybrid event!
