Any time I sit and look at this post trying to come up with a caption all I keep thinking is “handsome perfect”. I’ve been so excited for this little man’s arrival; but it also just humbles me in realizing how quickly time moves. I feel like just a couple weeks ago told me they were having another baby and now he’s here and almost 3 weeks old.

GIRLS all the way!! First off, I wouldn’t have missed this moment for my bestie for really anything, but then she asked if I’d be willing to not be fully present and capture it for her. Um…. YES! Being trusted to capture life changing moments are never taken lightly.

Being a summer baby (July birthday anyone else??), I felt obligated to really love summer. But over time I’ve stopped caring and embraced the fact that I truly adore autumn! The air feels so clean (even though the leaves are dying 🍂 😂), at my home there’s fresh split wood and wood burner smoke (heavenly when it’s mixed with cooler air), watching the bean fields go from green, gold then combined, an excuse to eat warm and cozy food, or have the oven on a ton and coffee hits different when you need a warm up. Shall I go on?

With all the chaos in our country right now, I’m trying to soak in the calm, the joy and the little things.

Capturing this family the last few years always brings me joy! Their little miss is my little buddy and chats with me the whole time (she and my oldest are buds). And this fall, her little brother almost stole the show with his constant smiles which thrilled us adults the whole time. He was a true little gentleman.

* I read some marketing strategy for social media, saying potential clients and followers don’t really care to read about the families in the photos. But I’m sorry, I don’t know some random caption and then it feels like a disservice to the family in the images. They’re special and important to my little business and I truly find joy in each interaction! So I’m going to tell you about it! 😍

Christmas Session offerings!
How do I summarize a ton of info in a small spot without boring you??

Offering 1 | $200 - outdoors at the New London Reservoir, up to 50 images, 30 minutes, 1 week gallery turn around. *super flexible with YOUR schedule.
•
Offering 2| $250 - in studio in Wooster (the last two photos on this post are from the studio with the inspo of their Christmas set). 25 images, 30 min, 1 week turn around.
•
Now - here’s some “see the fine print” info- since the reservoir is close to my home and free I am willing to be really flexible with scheduling. IF you don’t want to come all the way to New London then I am willing to go to another spot within 30 min of New London of your choosing. STUDIO - I am happy to block off a whole day at the studio if I can get a couple dates that work for the majority of you that would like it there. I’ll post a story with dates and collect a poll. OR YOU CAN COMMENT BELOW. I want to be flexible with studio as much as I can. So blocking off a whole day (5 hours) there will give me flexibility in time maybe not as much on dates.
•
The following dates match my schedule for availability:
Nov 2,9 (morning),16, & 23 for Saturday dates and Nov 8 & 22 for Friday dates.

I’m going to check back on studio availability! Please contact me directly soon if you would like anything in studio before Christmas as I’m not setting one date but working with your schedule.

When your first born is a boy, it just hits a dad a little different.

Little boys are something special. When they’re little they’re so tiny and you just want to snuggle them and be so gentle with them. And when toddlerhood hits; wrestling and pillow fights (or fabric donut fights) become regular events.

And the beauty of my job - I get to capture all of that. Including the sweetness between each parent and their little buddy.

When you welcome a second or third… or tenth baby to your family, I always make a point to include the older siblings.
•
As I raise my babies, I love seeing an actual friendship blossom between them. Sure they bicker. But when my two year old calls our oldest his “best buddy” or when little sister asks to hold her brother’s hand, it melts my heart x1000. Even though I’m referee for nearly every frustration, I’m almost always there to witness the good moments too!

I can keep secrets. But also tell them when asked to 🤍 I had no idea that I’d be given the honor of capturing such a special moment when walked in to this family session. With so many from far and near together, they thought it would be the perfect time to tell their grandparents that the first GREAT grand-baby would be joining the family. And I got to be there to witness and capture the joyous event! The sweet happy tears, the hugs, the surprise, wow! I was humbled to be a part of it.

I promise I’m not just lying around admiring girly things. I have a good handful of sessions sitting at the tips of my fingers I want to share and randomly get reel ideas I want to make. But I’m waist deep in food preservation, school season starting (mini preschool also being implemented) and now harvest season. It’s about to get a bit more busy and I’m trying to be present for that.
•
As I gear up in the near future to present 2025’s plans for MGP and what I want to put out on the social hubs for you to enjoy - have any preference of what you’d like to see? More session work? More lifestyle content? Small business ownership content? Motherhood (minus my kids’ faces - IYKYK)?

I want to be more intentional. I’ve set my phone down a lot more in the last couple weeks - it’s been really good. So if I’m on here I want to be using my time wisely. I truly only spend time sharing content I hope you’ll find helpful or bring a smile to your face.

It’s hard to think we’re almost done with August…. As any true Ohioan I have to comment on the heat leading us out of summer. As a farmer’s wife, could I add the comment about needing rain to accompany the heat?

Who’s behind the camera?

Hello! It’s a blessing to have you stop by my little corner of the world! Photography seems to have been in my blood since birth and I have been working towards this for a long time. It’s about the people for me, those that want to savor the little moments or the unforgettable moments. I have a love for weddings that my fiance doesn’t know how to handle, so I channel it into photographing couples, engagements and weddings. I partner up with Evoke Images (of Findlay, OH) to shoot weddings as often as possible and she is my second shooter for weddings I head up. I do a small amount of family sessions on the side, so please feel free to message me with any interests! Some passions of mine outside of photography are my up-coming marriage to my best friend, raising my little boy and our 2 fur babies, baking, homemaking and fitness. What are your interests? What are your passions? What makes your day? Mine is getting to share my love of my little family and my love for photography!
