I have been giving some serious thought to feedback regarding past events. So here is what I am going to do. I will be conducting a survey to all bands we have booked. This means you all get your say on to how you think we could have done things better. Please also voice what you think we did well so there is balance.
In 2019 we obviously did a ticket policy and paid fees and this was done for improvement so we could ensure risk management but also pay all bands. We also did catering rider on top.
In the past, obviously some promoters and venues have all done unpaid gigs as it was the norm back then (Mindlapse played for free at The Charlotte and other venues), but I understood in past few years, times have changed. This is why we changed policies to *paid* for signed/self financed and *ticket policy* for unsigned to minimise risk. We also do door deals for smaller gigs.
If you are a band that feel you could have been treated better in the past, we would like feedback from our survey on what things we could improve on. What we will then do is look at all the feedback and see what we can do to improve our processes. If you feel the above processes are satisfactory and are willing to acknowledge we changed processes for the better, then please do state this in the survey.
We will hold accountability for anything we have done wrong in your eyes, or anything you feel we could have done better and we will work on improvements. We also will come up with a proposed solution to hopefully help you build trust with the brand again. We ask that you reply with good intent and for the intention of resolve.
In terms of the malicious cruelty however, we will not be responding to abuse. We understand that a lot of lies has been circulated about the brand that we want to nip in the bud. Our team will be contacting you in the next few weeks with the survey link. Please view this as a way to have your say and to help us improve our processes. We always strive to provide quality events and we hope we can use your input to improve on quality.
