Strange things going on in the kitchen today... Batty brownies, ghost burgers, creepy pasta with brains bread, monster subs, and fruitier than usual fruit! We had a fun lunch for sure.

It's Holiday treat order time! My son's family was blessed by many prayers and financial assistance so they could focus on my granddaughter during her fight against leukemia for the first couple years of her life. I wanted to do something to pay it forward and help the Milligan family be able to do the same for Noah. ♥️ You can print the form, or simply write your order down. I will also have some forms available in the office Friday.

Tucker Hetterick is a third grade student at St. Aloysius Elementary School in Bowling Green. He's also the youngest volunteer at the food pantry next to his school.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer break. The September lunch menu is posted on the school website and will be emailed soon so I wanted to take this opportunity to provide some information for our new families, and refreshers for our returning families. The cafeteria offers 5 full lunch choices daily, along with 1 side dish and the option of purchasing an extra entree. If your child has specific dietary needs, I would be happy to work with you to provide gluten free, dairy free, or other options. Please email me with any questions. Please make sure you update any allergy information with the office if anything has changed. There have been several occasions there has been an issue where food sensitivities have changed and lunch orders have reflected the change but the allergy list has not. It slows down the lunch process for everyone and we may not be able to give your child what you ordered if it contains an ingredient that you have on their allergy list. I know there is a lot to do to prepare for school, but please get your lunch orders in early. This will give you time to work through any issues you have with option C ordering, and insure that your child has a smooth start. The first week is the time we have the most kids come in without ordering or packing and need a lunch. I have seen children so upset over it they were crying. It is especially difficult if they do not want any of the available options that day. All of the entrees may not be available to them as they are pre ordered and pre made for the number of orders. Please also keep track of when you ordered. There are many times a child has no lunch or buys and packs the same day. If you ever have any questions or concerns about the menu or cafeteria please feel free to email me. If your issue is with payment or Option C you will need to call the office for assistance. I'm looking forward to a great year!

Anyone with a sweet tooth can head over and get some of my goodies. If you prefer Spicy, they have been making authentic Indian cuisine on the weekends that is absolutely amazing. Check out their page and watch for different sweets in the future!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Corned beef for lunch with home made soda bread and andes mint brownie with white chocolate fudge topping for treats. I forgot to take pictures at school as usual. 😄

Happy Birthday Dr. Suess! Horton heard a Who, do you? They're yelling as loud as they can! These were a fun new adventure, completely edible with rice paper and edible markers. We also had green eggs, with no ham. The story is it was because of Lent, but I think Sam I Am snuck in and ate all the ham! 😂 If you're child liked their green egg omelette, they probably weren't aware the green was not food coloring, but spinach. 😊 The last time we had them a few of the kids told me they were the best eggs ever.
