DJ Wes Ro###

DJ Wes Ro### Veteran radio, club, and party DJ Wes Shealy's back in town with your favorite songs (plus a few you've never heard before)! I’d love to play for you sometime.

An "Old School" radio DJ who knows how to keep the feet tapping, the butts wiggling, and the crowd dancing and singing...no matter who they are or what they like to listen to! I started my DJ career playing records on two “record players” in my bedroom at 14 years old. Then it was for high school friends’ parties. College came, it was student parties and hanging around the campus radio station, W

SBF-FM, Clemson. After leaving school, I spent three years in restaurant management. Not really liking that, I got my FCC 3rd Class radio license and a job at “Lite Rock” WGXL-FM in Greenville, SC, working the “graveyard shift”, literally. The studio was in the middle of a cemetery in Laurens, SC. After a couple of years, the station was sold, so I went to 1440 WQOK-AM, a 25 year old legend in Greenville, playing Top 40 rock, and oldies. When it was sold, I went to WCKN-FM (now WROQ-FM) “Rock 101”. After a couple of years, to earn more money, I went country at WSSL-FM “Whistle 100” (formerly WGXL). In 1984, I moved to Columbia and went to work at WSCQ-FM “Stereo 100”. After a couple of years, I started playing parties and bars. I then had the opportunity to be part of the original DJ team that started WMFX-FM “Fox 102”. After a couple more years, I went into Sales Management for a national company I stayed with 28 years. Then the DJ bug bit me again and I started playing bars and parties, mostly around the Lake Murray area. An old friend from “Fox 102” had started WZMJ-FM “Z93.1 The Lake”, where I did afternoon-drive time and commercial production. At “The Lake” I played Beach, blues, boogie, old Motown, and 60’s to current hits. “Variety Hit Music,” but also for clubs and private parties. So here I am after 40 years of DJ-ing and “big ticket” sales. Still a radio, club, and party DJ, and a radio commercial salesman. And a damn good one at each of them. Contact me with what you need, and I’ll try to make it happen. Wes Shealy - “DJ Wes Rocks”
