***Casting Female DJ***

HER DJs received an inquiry for a 3-4 day conference at Aria Las Vegas the below dates 4/26-4/29.

They would like the DJ to make announcements and introduce keynote speakers in a British accent if that is possible. They are ok with the DJ faking the accent. Can you do that?

If we can't offer a DJ that can do a British accent, they are open to pre-recording the announcements and doing VOG.

HER DJs is initially proposing $3,000.00 per full day and $1,500.00 for the short rehearsal/soundcheck day. Your pay would be -20% the negotiated rate. Asking for all equipment be provided per your tech rider and vendor meals for full days.

Sunday 4/26
Will be a soundcheck/ short rehearsal day. Times TBD.

Monday 4/27 & Tuesday 4/28
Full day conference from 8am-5pm
DJ will need to be on-site on standby throughout the day. Probably a couple hours of DJ sets in the morning and evening, and playing music for walk-ons and breaks during the sessions.
DJ will have several breaks and lunch throughout day.

Wednesday 4/29
Shorter day conference from 8am-estimated 3pm
Same job duties as Monday/Tuesday.

**They want the DJ to be very high energy, they want their vibe to be cool, stylish and edgy.
**The music for walk-ons will be collaborative with the client, they have songs from last year as samples, but they want more current songs along those same lines.
**Their ideal DJ can also make announcements and introduce keynote speakers. They really want someone with a British accent or can fake one really well. If they don't find someone that can announce in the British accent, they are open to pre-recording and VOG'ing it.

**CASTING** Cirque du Soleil FEMALE DJ

Dj/Bandleader on the show. (The other musician is a guitarist)
20 minutes preshow set
• From the DJ pit on the structure
• Triggering the songs
• Use of filters
• Movement, interaction with crowd.
• Live video projection of her performance on main screen
• Beat box – 2 times 30 seconds
• Scratch (Serato) – 4 times around 30 seconds, once it is longer

During the show
• Whole show present on DJ pit
• Triggering some sounds, sound effects and voice over cues according to action on stage
• 3 short keyboard sections, chords and arpeggios
• DJ moment in Tag chapter, 45 seconds scratch solo
• The show is in timecode, no need trigger songs, some sections can be repeated if needed
• Some spoken words
• 2 short beatbox interventions
• Scratch is the main skill more important than beatboxing.

Skills:
The candidate should be able to display rhythmic features such as Scratch and/or BeatBox and/or Keyboards and/or percussion. The candidate should have musical knowledge.

Material and specifications:
1 minute scratch
1 minute beatbox
1 min Keyboard example
1 min slam

The candidate should be highly charismatic and be able to interact with a big crowd.

The candidate must know how to operate Ableton live show set-up.

On-Call:
A couple of shows a week.
