Unpopular opinion: serving cake is better than having a dessert table.

Additionally, cutting the cake together is a symbolic gesture that represents the first task the couple will complete together as newlyweds.

Secondly, serving a wedding cake is often more cost-effective than a varied dessert table.

A dessert table requires a larger quantity and variety of desserts, which can quickly add up in price. A wedding cake, on the other hand, can be customized to fit the couple's budget and can still be a stunning and delicious addition to the reception.
