Flower of the Month
September 2025: 🍇Muscari🍇
Also known as the Grape Hyacinth, these little blooms are always the first indication of Spring for me. This year the stems have been long enough for me to use which makes me so happy since they are such a brilliant colour and look so cute in a posy. I am also pressing some so I can build a stock of my pressed flower cards again.
Grape Hyacinths symbolize hope, trust and renewal.

Welcome to Spring!
3 months go by so quickly, after a bit of a break I am back with my monthly creations although this month it's more of a promotion of what I can do rather than a new creation to challenge myself with.

🎀Hair Piece🎀

Hair pieces and flower crowns are one of the more finicky designs a florist can make, a lot of detailed work and consideration goes into them however it's definitely worth the time.
They are stunning for any event whether it's a simple yet elegant hairpin or a bold and graceful full flower crown.
I thought I'd share my collection of hair piece creations I've done over the past 7 years.

Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads out there 💚

To my dad who says the only good flower is a cauliflower and all yellow flowers are weeds but still tells me about all the flowers and trees he sees on his adventures and also on occasion will model my flower crowns.

To my brother who I admire and have looked up to since birth.

To my partner who loves and supports me in life and our newest journey of parenthood.

August 2025: 💛Daffodil💛
In light of Daffodil Day I think they should be the flower of this month, they are one of the first flowers to show that Spring is on the way.
They come in so many colours and sizes, personally my favourite Daffodils are the ones with yellow or cream petals and orange trumpets, I also like the mini ones. Let me know which ones you love.
I also love the symmetry of them, they have such a great structure which is nice to look at.
Daffodils are a symbol of hope, joy, new beginnings and rebirth, they are a wonderful flower to gift.

Flower of the Month
July 2025: 🌙Cymbidium Orchid🌙
Orchids are such a special flower and this month as they are just starting to open up I am reminded of the wonderful woman who started this collection of orchids which has been gifted to me by her family about 4 years ago.
She was a fellow florist and kind of like a grandmother to us, she never missed a birthday, Christmas or anniversary and would always come bearing quirky gifts (some of which I still use today), baked goods and of course a bouquet of flowers from her garden. The orchids will be a consistent reminder of her which I will always treasure.
The Cymbidium Orchid is a symbol of friendship, morality and respect, they are a lovely long lasting flower to give to someone special.

Flower of the Month
June 2025: 🪶Protea🪶
This month our Proteas are abundant with blooms, finally starting to establish a good amount of flowers to show after 5 years of being in the ground, a reminder that good things take time and each season is different, plants grow and bloom best naturally when conditions are favorable which changes from one season to the next.
Proteas are such a special, strong and unique addition to bouquets, symbolizing strength, courage, transformation and diversity.
They always remind me of my amazing mentor Donna at Simply Flowers & Events who taught me that you can use the feathery bracts in wiring work to add texture or colour to a design.
