Flower of the Month
November 2025: 🤍Rengarenga🤍

Rengarenga! A stunning, star like New Zealand native and an absolute delight to work with, they are especially stunning in wedding arrangements as they are bright and delicate. One of my favourite native flowers.

Rengarenga holds significant and spiritual symbolism in Māori culture, representing resilience and survival as well as the tubers once being a reliable food source and used for medicinal purposes.
It also symbolizes creative focus.

(Please let me know any other cultural symbolism about Rengarenga and any other NZ natives, I'm very intrigued and would love to learn more)

This month's creation:

🎈 Air Balloon 🎈

As I am currently building up my stock of cards I thought this was a good opportunity to create more of an artistic scene with my pressed flowers.

Flower of the Month
October 2025: 🩵 forget-me-nots 🩵

A lot of my favourite flowers are blooming in October which makes this a hard decision but every season is different and I like to share what is most prolific or significant each month, forget-me-nots have stood out to me this month since I've been making plenty of smaller posies lately where they really shine, adding such delicate detail and a pop of colour. Personally I think they are a great flower for newborns because they are so sweet, subtle and dainty.

Symbolism of Forget-me-nots is one that many people already know since it's in the name, they are associated with remembrance and everlasting love as well as providing comfort around loss.

What flower reminds you of your loved ones?
For me dandelions and red roses remind me of my Grandad.

💙 Blue 💙

I love making monochrome arrangements, blue is an especially nice colour to work with since it's fairly rare to find in the flower world and often have more of a purple hue to them. I think blue flowers have a kind of magic about them.
What is your favourite blue flower?
