Our friends at are bringing back our favorite show and it opens tonight! Go check out Star Trek Live!

This year, they’ll be mounting for the first time “The Way to Eden!” The Enterprise is host to some unruly guests - space hippies in search of planetary paradise. Kirk has trouble maintaining order amongst the visitors, but Mr Spock seems strangely sympathetic towards them.
The cast features some of San Francisco’s best drag performers, including .crow, the world’s only female William Shatner impersonator as Captain Kirk.

Only a few more days until we dive into the kaleidoscopic, swinging, gothic, surreal, decadent world of BLACK LIZARD (1968)! We racked our brains thinking about what would be the perfect Pride movie to show during our first June Movie Madhouse and, when we landed on Black Lizard, we knew instantly that we had found the perfect film. We are OBSESSED with this beautiful film and highly reccomend people check out this underrated masterpiece. We're so excited to be returning for Movie Madhouse this Sunday with BLACK LIZARD (1968)! It's Pride month and if there's one we thing we love to celebrate this time of year, it's gay crime! So we figured we'd take you back to one of the original q***r-coded villains... Before Frank-N-Furter, before Myra Breckenridge, before Z-Man Barzell... there was the Black Lizard, a stunning gender-bending fashionista criminal mastermind who will stop at nothing to get what she wants! Starring famed Japanese drag performer Akihiro Miwa, Black Lizard is a criminally under-seen classic that must not be missed this Pride season so join us this Sunday at the 4 Star Theater for Media Meltdown Movie Madhouse!

Congratulations to our opening night audience who were able to save Q***rternia, getting the best possible show ending! Audience reviews are in and the show is a hit! Standing ovation on a Tuesday?! And reports from past dungeoneers saying that this show even exceeds the first! The land is still in peril for two more nights, so DON'T MISS OUT! And we're thrilled to be welcoming back the hilarious Lucinda Puss, who graced us in last year's show as the terrifying alien sorceress Lucy Furr! There were endings of the show where Lucy could have won, where her evil could have spread throughout the land, but not once, in any of the shows we did last year, was that the journey audience selected. It's the 5-year anniversary of Media Meltdown! Our first show ever was held on Sunday May 30th, 2019 at the old Stud! Our first theme was "Nic Cage vs Jeff Goldblum - A Drag Show" and we had this incredible cast of performers skewering their favorite works by the two actors. We're so grateful for the many opportunities we've had and all of the support we've received since then... from our series of drag shows at Makeout Room and Oasis, to being the first digital drag show and creating a robust network of digital drag offerings during the pandemic, to our cult film screenings across the city, the pumpkin patch, and all the rest.... thank you to everyone who has allowed us to keep this silliness going!

Select Thine Own Journey: The Next Chapter is ready to whisk you away to a land of fantastical gay imagination! Join us next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to traverse dungeons, fight monsters, and explore the complicated political terrain of a foreign land in which you are suddenly forced to make difficult choices that will either save or doom the land… no pressure!

In just one week, we return to Queerternia! You have NEVER seen a show quite like this! In this "Choose Your Own Adventure"-style theater experience, the audience joins our heroes in their quest by making decisions at key moments to result in one of multiple possible endings! Will you save the world or destroy everything? Every night is different, so why not both?!

We couldn't be more excited to present this movie on Saturday! We've heard from so many of you that you think this movie is amazing... We've heard from so many of you that you think this movie is awful. Luckily, two things can be true at once! If you want to see vampire sex workers fight crazy Christians, make sure to clear your calendar and be at the 4 Star Theater this Saturday at 10pm!

The Mystery of MEDIA MELTDOWN

Media Meltdown is a drag show for weirdos founded in May 2019 by San Francisco-based performers Franzia Kafka and Piranha. With themes celebrating cult media, nostalgic deep cuts, and immersive experiences, Media Meltdown combines drag with decor, curated playlists, mind-bending visuals, and other interactive elements to take you on an acid trip through your childhood VHS collection. During times when bars are open, check us out every third Sunday at the Make Out Room in SF and at our rotating series at the Alamo Drafthouse where we screen cult movies related to our month’s drag theme!
