India is home to the largest number of hungry people in the world. We rank 100th out of 119 countries in the hunger index. Each year, more people die of hunger than AIDS, Malaria and Tuberculosis combined. And this problem has increased exponentially after the lockdown, as millions who depend on daily wages for food, are starving.
“HungerTalks” is a roundtable webinar series in which eminent persons from diverse fields such as wellness, sports, law, finance and industry will share their knowledge & experiences to help raise funds for the NGO YUVA's COVID-19 relief efforts. Esteemed speakers like Rahul Dravid, Yasmin Karachiwala, Harish Salve, Urjit Patel, Justice Shri Krishna, Capt Raghu Raman and several more have joined us to raise awareness about this pressing need. While the hunger to learn and grow is great, the literal hunger plaguing millions affected by COVID-19 is not. For every one person who dies of COVID-19, thousands will die of hunger.
