Dear cherished couples

After 12 years of Jar of Memories I have decided that it is time to retire from wedding videography. I have made the decision to move on from this fulfilling journey to prioritise my family and devote more time to my other passions.

Throughout this incredible journey, I have had the privilege of capturing your most precious moments. It has been a challenging yet immensely rewarding experience, one that has enriched my life in countless ways.

It began as a passion project that became a successful side business, every wedding has been captured solo and edited 100% by me. During this time I have sumultaneously balanced my full time job and raising a young family. I have operated from word of mouth alone, for which I am especially grateful.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for entrusting me with the task of documenting your love stories. Your trust, support, and appreciation have meant the world to me, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of your special day.

While I bid farewell to wedding videography, please know that the memories we've created together will forever hold a special place in my heart. I will carry them with me always as a reminder of the love and joy that I have been fortunate enough to witness and capture.

Catherine and Trent's love story began in 2014-2015, shrouded in the mystery of their first encounter as they can't quite agree on the details. However, what is not a mystery is how captivated she was by his tall, handsome presence and he, enchanted by her infectious smile and engaging conversation. It was a tomato sauce bottle that set them on a path to romance. They were just friends of friends but their friendship grew stronger after he sprayed tomato sauce on her at a BBQ! This tricked worked and they started dating. From there they have started careers, travelled the world and made a home together with their border collie, Leo. For Jayde and Martin their life has been full of tasty treats! They first met over a smashed cupcake in the face at a birthday party and Martin continued the tradition with a giant cookie as a boyfriend girlfriend gift. Their life together has been as sweet as can be with holidays, houses and pets all making up their journey. But their sweetest creation is their gorgeous boys. After 8 beautiful years together Martin decided on their anniversary that it was time to put the cherry on top of the cake with a romantic proposal at Portsea. Congratulations to the lovely couple 🥰

On a balmy Hawaiian evening, Mat spied what was to become the love of his life. Lucy looked stunning as she walked into the bar, Mat plucked up the courage to chat. A low charged phone nearly caused disaster, but Mat (with one T) was able to connect through Facebook. First date was at a Thai restaurant but the second became their regular… steak night, followed by ice skating. Lucy began making the long trek from Toorak to Narre Warren and as their love blossomed, Mat would give Lucy his final rose.

Four years ago, a boys camping trip and a hens party saw Tim and Rachel cross paths for the first time. A cheeky kiss on the dance floor of the Sorrento Hotel led to something much stronger. Their first date was a trip to the Dandenong’s to watch the sunset. Tim thought her fun and exciting and Rachel thought he was sweet. They are both very active and share a passion for camping and hiking. It was on one of these trips to Mossman Gorge that Tim went down on one knee in front of a beautiful waterfall to propose. The ring fit perfectly.. on her pinky finger.

Lyndal and Bennett always had an easy relationship that blossomed into love. From their first date where they spent hours talking to each other to their first trip to the country at Inverloch. It was here that Ben took Lyndal to his happy place, a beach called Shack Bay. It then became the scene for his proposal 2.5 years later. It was now their happy place. They share a love for everything about each other as well as their fur baby Siri and the greatest gift of all their own child arriving in August.

With a shared love of travel, good conversation and their puppy Nismo this couple have become amazing soulmates who are ready to spend the rest of their lives together.
