139 years ago, Paris presented New York City with the Statue of Liberty as a symbol of Hope and Freedom. Today, The Hip Hop Museum is honored to unveil an 18 ft tall sculpture of Eric Orr’s Rappin’ Max Robot by , a Brooklyn-based nonprofit that teaches young adults welding and metal fabrication by partnering with established artists. This piece was built to commemorate the first Olympics to feature breaking as a sport and will be donated to Paris as a symbol of Hip Hop, Hope, Freedom and Unity.
Come see Rappin’ Max Robot on display outside of The Hip Hop Museum at 585 Exterior Street, Bronx, NY 10451 for a couple of months before it goes to Paris.
This sculpture is made possible because of the artistry of Eric Orr who created the 1st ever Hip Hop comic book in 1986. Shoutout to you Eric Orr for your incredible contributions to Hip Hop culture.
