Julia Young Photography My custom portrait photography is a very different experience from how you have had your pictures taken in the past. My heart is big for babies and children.

I am an on-location, available light, lifestyle photographer specializing in maternity, newborn, children, and families. My desire is to capture the true beauty of life for you that will become memories that will last forever. In the words of one of my favorite photographers, “you will never hear me tell your child to ‘say cheese’.” I believe that the best smile is a real one and sometimes, it’s o

k not to. I love the outdoors and the opportunity you get from just taking a walk in the park and finding the perfect location. I enjoy shooting indoors if the lighting is right, so your living room could be my “studio”. My favorite way of shooting is capturing real moments and that makes me a lifestyle photographer. I love every aspect of working with them and capturing their innocence. My style is very casual, candid, relaxed, and non-traditional. I love to see people for who they are. Getting to know your or your children’s personality during the shoot is very important to me. I am blessed to be enjoying two passions in my life – being a mother and a photographer. After my son Lukas was born my hobby intensified as I wanted to capture every precious moment and little detail of his life. My hobby then blossomed into a career. Photography is my dream job and I jump out of bed everyday excited to keep living the dream!

Haven’t made the official announcement, but Julia Young Photography has moved. Well let’s say “half way moved” We did sell our house and moved into a travel trailer. Our belongings are in storage until we find a new home base. As of right now we are exploring the US. Follow us along

My last session here in Colorado Springs was a couple days ago. Felt so good to get back out and play in nature again after this COVID break. Gorgeous people made it easy, the crazy Colorado wind made it very challenging though! Love the result and can not wait to share all of them at Mc M. family's session premiere. Let me know if you like them as much as I do :)

Just waiting on a couple more big prints before I can deliver Lawrence’s senior session. I loved how his portrait box turned out. The family chose 5x7 over the 8x8s and will use the keepsakes box with little memories of Lawrence. Maybe shoes he learned walking in and the onesie he wore in the hospital 💙

I was honored once again to be the photographer for this amazing company - "Wiesenbett". It was a workvacation :). Mommy And Her Babies

I'm so honored I got to capture these memories for my friend Jasi and her Family. OMG, I love them all, it was so fun shooting again! Sweet little Louisa almost stole mommy the show- I mean how adorable is she?!? My gift to mommy, a pro hair & makeup before their session! It was so fun and I will definitely add this to my custom photography excerience once back form maternity leave.
