I often get asked if I only shoot weddings. LifeDotStyle feeds my family and pays my bills - so honestly I do a little of everything (including super fun preschool photos fyi). I started out as a family photographer and still love photographing newborns. Especially when I've been their photographer for life! Engagement, wedding, kids, family... I love getting to be a part of our couple's most exciting life moments!

I know it's been "warm" for a few days but this was my first morning out to enjoy it! The sun is magic this time of year. It's so funny to me that back in the fall this weather would have been awful, but now it feels so good. Speaking of fall, (lol worst transition ever but shhhh... social media is hard) here's a throwback to this lovely fall couple! Can't wait to photograph their wedding this next summer!

It’s been just a few weeks since I lost my mom to stage 4 metastatic bone cancer on December 19th, and it feels impossible to sum up what she meant to me in one post. But here goes.

She was my best friend, my weekly coffee date, and the world’s best support system. Seriously, she rescued us during more than one busy season with a meal or fresh buns and jam. She was always there for my kids when I needed a break (and let’s be honest, I needed a lot of breaks especially in the early days of my business). She was my cheerleader, my rock, and the one who could always make things feel just a little brighter - even on the hardest days.

She was also the reason I am a musician today (little known fact). She was an amazing piano teacher who made sure I never gave up (I took lessons for 14 years and even taught piano for several years myself). Her love for music and beauty was contagious, and she taught me to see the world through her eyes. “Feast your eyes” she’d say, reminding me to look up from the book I was likely buried in and enjoy the world around me. It was usually a magical mountain scene or a beautiful sunset.

As hard as this year has been, I’m trying to hold on to the good. Her laughter, her wisdom, and her beautiful soul. The way she’d make you feel like everything was going to be okay, even when you didn’t know how - and that she would pray for you (she absolutely would). Her memory is still here in the music I play, the mountains I visit, and in every cup of coffee I sip (in her honor, of course).

Mom, I’ll miss you forever, but I’ll also keep living with your love and light shining through. 💖

Happy 2025! It's been a hot minute - but I promise it's for a few good reasons! First of all I thought I'd re-introduce myself because it's been a long time!

I'm Conni - I've been behind a camera professionally since 2008! I love love photographing weddings and for the last 6 years creating wedding films! LifeDotStyle has been a labour of love from myself and one of my best friends. However because wedding photography in particular is really rough on our joints, wrists, hands and shoulders, this year, LifeDotStyle waved goodbye to Lisa so she can protect herself from further injury. (Sorry we are still besties if you were here for some hot tea ;))

I was born with endless optimism and a splash of delusion so I firmly believe all skills could be mastered by me if only I had . Fortunately I'm grounded by my bank account (most of the time...) though my house could be considered a shrine to abandoned hobbies. You know that moment when you buy 40 pounds of clay because you’re 100% certain you’ll become a pottery master that weekend? Yeah, I’ve been there. 😅 But hey, at least I’m pretty good at taking pictures of the chaos I create, right? 📸

I'll have to catch up a little of what we've been up to - starting with our first 2024 wedding at the lovely . Bryana and Evan's day was a fantastic way to kick off the 2024 wedding season! It took a little juggling but they both got ready right at the venue, using both upstairs and downstairs!

With immense joy and heartfelt gratitude, we are excited to show off a sneak peak this recent wedding set in the picturesque landscape of Alberta.
