It’s the day of the show y’all! Toi toi toi to the unbelievable cast and crew of
This absolute dream of an opera villain; ARMIDA really needed to have a battle dress to end all battle dresses in our 1980’s Wall Street restating of RINALDO. I don’t know about you, but this is certainly the dress I’d wear to battle! To see it worn exquisitely and intelligently activated by someone so talented and lovely like is a costume designer’s DREAM!
I’d also like to add that this costume is so special to me because it and many of the styling choices for the character of Armida were inspired by my best ghoulfriend who’s beauty and legendary kindness are the only things keeping her from becoming the worlds most successful super villain.

Argante from RINALDO. In our 1980’s Wall Street and elites reimagining of the baroque opera, we knew that Argante had to be incredibly imposing and powerful. Pitted against the preppy old money world of Rinaldo and Goffredo, Argante is a badass who makes his own rules, or does he?

Today is ‘s second and final Orchestra dress for RINALDO. I’d be remiss to not post his costume rendering! Having an incredible counter tenor performing in and wearing these clothes so handsomely and rakishly in our poolside scene at the Hamptons is an absolute delight!

Wishing our singers and orchestra of RINALDO a wonderfully successful wandleprobe this afternoon
Rendering of on of the many costumes for the enchanting to wear as Almirena. I cannot wait to have the professional photos, because this look is even more cute on her than in the drawing!! Excited for orchestra dress tomorrow and sooooo grateful for this cast’s ability to really inhabit these clothes and characters!
