What. A. Show! Sunday at saw some of the most exciting racing yet on the circuit, leading off with the elite women’s race. After week’s of dominance by .clauzel mixed it up at the front the entire race over the slick track. In the closing meters, Bakker led out the sprint and seemed to have finally secured her first win of the season, only to be pipped at the last moment by a surging Clauzel. It doesn’t get much closer than this. The field heads on to next weekend. Will Bakker, who has been improving each week, finally find the top of the podium?

Euro Trio. Current French National Champion (1p) , former Dutch U23 National Champion (2p) and former five-time French National Champion (3p) took the top places in today’s women elite race, putting on an impressive performance that left their North American competition withering in the afternoon sun in Druid Hill Park.

Five-for-five. .strohmeyer has won every UCI CX race he’s entered this season and today he gave his hometown friends, family and fans a demonstration of just how dominant he’s been. Early in today’s men’s elite race, he shed his nearest competition and he stayed away to the finish. It wasn’t even close. That isn’t to say the rest of the field has given up. Can other top talent in the field figure out how to knock Stroh off the top box? We’ll find out tomorrow at 4:05pm!
