Rental Kimono&sell Yukata, second hand, authentic Kimono. A small family run over 60years shop The shop for selling Kimono is also my home in Harajyuku.

Our shop has around 50 years history and over 3,000 costumers who are Japanese and non-Japanese. For those who you would like to buy Kimonos,

All these items are at our main shop out side of TOKYO. So please e-mail blue text info, if you are interested in buying Kimono. Our main shop will sent your items to Harajyuku therefor we ask at least 2 days before notice. When your info is not clear (

like " budget : not expensive") , we may not answer it. These info we need "what you like to have and what for it (For wearing, let me know your measurements: height&hip with cm) with budget "

After this info, I will sent our map ( location is different from Kimono rental place). Since a famous Japanese politician live same mansion as our home, security is very high . If I can not see your email with socialized behavior, we may reject your coming.

3 ladies enjoyed our escorting to the Meiji-shrine in Yukata! Colorful! We prayed their happy and safe travel with Shintoism way. Also the tea ceremony we offered. I do believe it is very meaningful to touch other culture when we are young. Knowing there is another way to think life or philosophy help our future. I hope our shop bring something to all our guests' minds.

Last year 2024, I was in USA on 4th July and discovered how much Independence Day is important for American citizen. Many dressed in USA flag motive clothing then made parade which we never seen in Japan. One of reason we prohibited to use flag after ww2 for a while. America is always kind of winner so I thought they could do always. Having such strong identity as American is good aspect for government. This obi can be used for casual Kimono and Yukata. Also made it longer so plus size is fine too. We have international online shop so may get one for next year!

Lucky her, she wants to have a hair up. Normally we can't offer it on the day and only for shopping guests but I called our friend hair salon then made time for her! If you want to hair up, please let me know in advance and also buy our yukata otherwise we become hair salon agency! (photo is before hair up)

Shibori haori is so gorgeous. One guest got one as present for her mother. I got one photo from here. Haori is easy to use like a cardigan. And can you imagine shibori is tie dye but old Japanese made one can create such pattern. Nowadays, almost all shiobri is made in other Asia countries so no pattern just tie. Our shop still some shibori haori made in Japan.

10min on foot from Kyoto station! So beautiful and peaceful even 36 degrees, I had wonderful time. So time to leave Kyoto and returning to Tokyo! I got many Yukata here as well as a plus size kimono for women. Boy Yukata which is impossible to find in Tokyo but seems still in Kyoto they produce Yukata for boys which means Kyoto boy has chance to dress it. Yes there are many summer festivals in kansai! Also I got good dyed Yukata for ladies. Can't wait to show them to my loved guests! It is July so nice to go out in Yukata!!

This year, not only Kimono but also many gentlemen got Yukata for outgoing. I visited all Yukata distributors in tokyo and got what I like (I don't buy too tourist one). So I decided to go to Kyoto from Monday to get more men's Yukata and Kimono. Hope I can find something I like. In Kimono industry, there are no online shop for shop. We need to go or make very good relationship (which means buy many) with them and they send their stock and we can buy or return.

This year many international gentlemen would like to have own kimono set! And when I dress them, they often say ”very comfortable” true! Despite women kimono, men’s kimono is easy to wear and less tie. This is the reason many Japanese old men dress in kimono at home(or dressed, past sentence). Men needed to become western styles after we opened country not to look barbarian so they needed to be western life style outside of home. But at home they changed to kimono for relax. Even my kids time, my late father was in kimono at home.

We are really sorry but this year, many holidays. Between 29th July~21st August, my hair make helper can sell Yukata for outgoing at shop. Also we offer online shop during this. but no any package plans sorry. If you live in EU and wish to have something from our online shop, please let us know by 20th July so we can bring it to Germany and can sent to you from Germany!

She will return to us with her family! Seems got married and now mother of 2 girls! I clearly remember her since I was late to open our shop for her! She called me and found our aggrement time was already! I am the parson who consent on something too much and foget the time. She forgave me and we had great time together in the Meiji-shrine!
Again she will come to Japan in summer! If you come different season, we offer different seasons kimono!

Yes we have summer Kimono for kids as well! It fits for around 120cm tall girl. Hand sewing, we made it! Not premade but tailer made (also Mama's kimono too). See-through Kimono is very special! But still Yukata is cooler. It is your choice! Today I got an email from repeater's husband. One lady who came to our shop in 2017, she wish to visit us with her family now! How we are happy shop!

Looks 3 sisters! Grandmother and mother and daughter enjoyed being in Yukata and hair up. Visiting the Meiji-shrine and pray each health and happiness! Everyone fits each Yukata! Gorgeous! 　We support your memorable day in Japan :)

not shop but cultural salon we are

If you like to have only nice photos in Kimono, our shop may be not best for you. But if you like culture, our salon would love to have you. Tea ceremony is always come with our kimono rental. Also shopping, we have deep knowledge of how to wear Kimono properly and which occasion and sash is much however if you can not be socialized behavior, our salon can not open to the parson. For example, try so many things and make salon messy or dose not share real Information of your demand( size, budged) . Our salon’s goal is not making money but help people who like to know real Japanese cultuer and both of us appreciate each other.

Culture needs humanistic life so we don’t work like economic animal so please always book us in advanced if you would like to come to us. Let’s have cultural moment together
