Not Viking clothing but want to show you))))
After I saw this corset in the museum, I was seized by the desire to make the same one, so for the last week I have been completely immersed in work.
It reminds me of a summer flowering field. 🌸🌺🪻🌻 Or bright fireworks in the night sky... 🎇🎆
Corset based on the original from Eastern Polesie, Kalinkovichi region.
Vintage natural velvet, homespun antique linen lining, “zigzag” tape.
Completely handmade!!!!! Every centimeter of decorative braid is sewn by hand, making the lining look like a piece of art and really reminds me of Van Gogh's Starry Night))))

I’m fascinated by sewing aprons! 🥹
This is such a wonderful detail of a woman’s wardrobe, and it’s such a pity that it turned out to be unfairly almost forgotten in our time!
This apron is made of very old homespun linen fabric, very openwork and with an interesting textured pattern. Also used here are lace and antique linen plain weave fabric.

Maybe it’s time for new album “Yuliya_Can_Not_Only_Viking_Clothing” (but don’t have time for that)? 😅😅😂
A thing that has been waiting for “new life” for many years.
I got a piece of linen fabric with wool embroidery about 5 years ago along with rolls of antique homespun linen. The fabric with embroidery was very shabby, dirty, with torn edges, it was clear that this thing had been used quite actively. I washed it, ironed it, restored lost places of embroidery and put it in the closet because I didn’t know what to do with it.
And finally, literally 2 days ago, I had an attack of sudden inspiration and in one night I sewed this apron.
First, I selected the most suitable fabric from all my stocks - by color and density; then I thought for a long time about the shape and style, looked at many photos with original aprons.
In the end, this is the result! 😍🤍❤️🖤
As always, completely hand sewing, antique handmade linen fabric, interesting technique “puply”, which I worked for the first time.
I think it turned out quite well. And most importantly for me that I was able to save and give new life to someone’s very old and painstaking work 🙌🏻

Over the entire period of my work, I have sewn a huge number of Pskov dresses and I can say with confidence that only antique handmade linen gives the correct silhouette and appearance of this dress.
So in this work I used fabric 50 cm wide and I needed 7.6 m for the finished dress. It's a lot of work to get smooth and beautiful folds, it's worth it!
I am very pleased with the result and I hope it’s new owner will be happy too ❤️

So, it’s ready! 🥹🥹🥹😍
Full silk caftan completely lining with cotton for my wonderful and lovely customer.
Speculative reconstruction of a Sogdian caftan based on painting from Panjakent (1st quarter of the 8th Century) and the example in the Musee Guimet / Deydier collection which is C14 dated to early 8th Century.
A lot of silk and silk threads, a lot of work, twice redone lining, a lot of patience, one broken iron that could not stand these two weeks of work on every detail 😂
