From the organizers to the sound and light tech… everyone was FLINTA and it truly made all the difference. I felt so taken care of and the welfare team was taking care of all of us.
These spaces are absolutely crucial because it gives us perspective of what we as FLINTA normalize when it comes to performance experiences. There have been so many times where I just didn’t feel comfortable or something was off and it truly makes all the difference when you feel safe. This is how it should be EVERY TIME!

Tricky Women is the world’s first festival of animated film dedicated specifically to animation by women and/or genderqueer artists, TRICKY WOMEN/ TRICKY REALITIES holds a unique position within the international festival landscape and has become a creative support network, safe(r) space and a possibility to experience animation from a feminist perspective.
From gender equality to digitalization, from human rights to the working world to social, economic and ecological questions – for more than twenty years, Tricky Women has been exploring social and political issues, understanding animation as a tool to destroy the patriarchy.

WHY ANIMATION? Animation can break up existing structures and reconstruct them in new ways, it can open up discursive realms of possibility, create new options and spheres of action, and provide different perspectives: Animation expands (not only) our visual vocabulary.

Partnering with alongside other talented DJs to bring you an event that smashes stigmas and gender norms when it comes to turntable technology and the art of digging 🎧🎶
Future Female Sounds is a non-profit organisation and a global community, uniting over 8,000 female and gender expansive DJs. Founded in 2017 with the mission of making DJ culture accessible to women and gender minorities globally, FFS provide emerging and established DJs with skills through DJ Workshops and training and access to opportunities through events, bookings, activations and partnerships, providing a platform for DJ talent. Future Female Sounds have trained over 1000 new DJs across their programmes and workshops in Copenhagen, Paris, Berlin, Cairo, Beijing, East Jerusalem Palestine and Tunis, and run an online DJ Academy in partnership with Beatport.
