Finalizing next week’s wedding to be hosted by ! The plans have been rendered! Today we need to:
-check on the wooden cross we commissioned someone to build just this week because our bride had some last minute ideas that we loved
-make sure we have cases and cases of blue hydrangeas and all the other beautiful flowers on time to be delivered Tuesday
-meet with our clients this afternoon to triple check everything so next week is smooth sailing.

Everything about this wedding was amazing because not only was it elegant, it was all local. The owner of this beautiful venue’s Daughter got married yesterday. The Mother of the bride worked hard at planning her daughter’s wedding and her planning really turned out beautiful.

One of my favorite details are the table numbers-their sweet pup holding a number. Also, look closely at the cake-the details on the sheet cakes are so pretty!!!

Our flowers are a good example on how you can make something full, add pops of color and not break the bank. 🤍🤍

Good morning!!!! Say hello to our newest employee! Since Junah’s family has moved back from Mexico, she has been involved in everything! She’s an excellent student, involved in the fair, volleyball ball, great at graphic design and now loving her flower passion! Junah is extremely sweet and so hardworking. She has learned very quickly and has been diving right in. Nothing is beneath this young lady-she will clean, move items AND quick to lend a hand in flower design. With all of our weddings this season we needed to bring her onboard and very happy we did!!

Let’s give her a BIG welcome!

Love it when we see our brides getting married in the church!

When you get married at the church, there is a designated door to lead in and out. This means your exit is so much more dramatic then getting married in a field. This adds a special moment-like this! And oh, how we all love this! You can use bubbles or flower petals-it’s always such a beautiful moment captured in our hearts as well as on camera.

I mean…REALLY?! I love it when my brides choose these colors-just so beautiful. Don’t you think?!

Cori and Luke decided to take away the jitters before they walked down the aisle and did a first look just before the ceremony. So glad they did! These pictures show not only two people in love but a sense of ease, of knowing you are perfect for each other. They just belong!

This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure to create for this family and so happy they trusted me with another stunning and breathtaking wedding-the view alone! It just sparks all sorts of happiness in me!

I literally was taken aback when I saw this photo. I absolutely love this shot from isn’t Maddy a stunning bride?!

And let’s get down to some honest thoughts right now. Most of my oldest clients know I used to detest babys breath-never liked it. I’d use white wax flowers instead of baby’s breath. It reminded me of 1982. Sure, in 1982 I was still in diapers, but still…then, time passed. AND NOW!!! Now!! I love it when it’s put together like this! Just baby’s breath and white roses. OH MY GOODNESS!

This really did create a different look. I’m a changed florist! I love it now!!!! 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍

One of our weddings this weekend was hosted by . We simply enjoy the newest trend of babys breath and white roses-it’s just stunning. It’s even better when you can use it as your alter flower AND THEN repurpose it to be used at your sweetheart table!

I took a little break from creating wedding flowers to hang out with my family this evening. We always enjoy and tonight was their . Always a great time checking out stores and tasting all the food! Love seeing the new Butcher &Market and the reopened A Robbins Nest! Even a treat seeing two of my brides-one works at the market and the other at the health district.🤍🤍Such a wonderful time with the family enjoying our community!!

Dearest gentle reader,

Often times we tend to disregard the males flowers. For they are not the main event, not as much as our lovely brides. I do, however love the small and very fancy, dainty flowers we create for them. Such lovely little flowers to adorn the chest of the very much in love, groom.

I love to travel to see new cities and places and to show my children new things. I always love getting away and getting inspired in person instead of always looking to Pinterest. My travels are not costly, they are sometimes to a nearby bookstore I’ve never visited or a picnic at a historical park. I enjoy bringing my experiences back home-to you.

This time it’s the magic of music, French roast coffee, warm beignets and of course, flowers. That sounds like a BEAUTIFUL MORNING! If you think you might me interested in a morning filled with these things, let me know! My trip to New Orleans French Quarter was so much different then the ones I experienced in my 20’s…being 20 years older made me appreciate so much more!!

It’s been a wonderful summer with family and friends! We have visited 8 states and 5 different beaches! Everything was so amazing-loved seeing new things with my boys. From riding central parks carousel, lobster in Maine, history & fireworks in Boston, alligator watching in Hilton Head-to listening to Jazz in New Orlean’s French Quarter! This florist is RESET for an amazing August! It time to dive into end of summer weddings, get storefronts ready for fall shoppers, fall setups at our shop and at The Nest 1896!

We cant wait to dive right in and get back to work!! Looking forward to seeing you all soon!! Happy end of summer-let’s have fun celebrating our last cookouts and dives in the pool.

Who doesn’t love a compote filled with flowers?! These little guys are sweet! My favorite is the first. What’s yours? If you are trying to keep flower cost down, you have to keep your centerpieces simple. Simple doesn’t mean just babies breathe.

Yesterday’s wedding was inspired by a wedding I designed 4 years ago-all greenery. This bride wanted to add just pops of white flowers. Mission accomplished!

I had a fun time designing everything, including the sweet box to put all of their wearables in.

Fun weekend!!! Now we plan for our next wedding-heading to New Orleans! I LOVE this Job and all of the places it takes me 🤍🤍🤍 Happy Sunday!
