After MUCH consideration, I have decided to suspend operations of my business, Venues and Vendors Express. The wedding/event industry has changed since we first opened, and our current business structure is not compatible with new industry trends, etc. Hopefully, there can be a re-structuring at some point in the future, but this is the best decision at this time.
In the mean time…😁😁😁 I will be returning to my first love; the performing arts, and will be pursuing my acting career full time. 2nd chapters can be hard. They require fortitude, bravery, and resilience. I pray that God blesses me with all three. 🙏🏾 I am excited to be on this journey and I look forward to sharing the wins, the not-so-wins, and everything in between. Choosing your photo/ video vendor is a very important part of wedding planning as they are the ones who are capturing the memories you will have for years to come. and chose to capture all of the moments from their special day. The photographer that day was incredibly helpful and even jumped in to help with a bridesmaid dress dilemma. Having 2 videographers is the way to go when you want to capture all of the special moments as well as all of the reactions. Here is a small snippet of what they put together for the happy couple.

When it came time to pick wedding favors for their guests, the couple knew edible favors is always the way to go. So they chose future pastry chef/bakery owner to create a delicious treat for all of the guests to enjoy. loves macarons and loves chocolate; so the obvious choice became chocolate macarons! Macarons can be a tricky delicacy, but was up for the challenge. The macarons came out delicious, arrived on time, and were adorned with ribbons to coordinate with the wedding colors. There are so many elements to planning a wedding ceremony and reception. And one of the biggest decisions you have to make is whether or not to hire a planner or at the very least a “Day of Coordinator”. For the answer was a resounding yes! She was clear about wanting someone to be by her side during the preparation and also wanting someone competent enough to bring all of her visions to life. We were very lucky to find .co to do all of this and more! From the initial inquiry Keri impressed us with her knowledge, responsiveness and incite. She was sensitive to all of the brides needs, was there when we needed her and offered creative ideas to elevate our initial suggestions. We were enjoying working with her so much that we also had her help with bridal shower planning at the same time. Even when the bride had very specific ideas about certain elements, but no idea how to implement them, Keri rose to the challenge and came up with a solution the bride loved. She designed gorgeous bouquets, boutonnières, and the submerged centerpiece flowers just as the bride had requested. When I tell you those flowers were strong and beautiful… and come on with that perfect coordinating blue!! Notice those baskets made out of Calla Lilly stems tied to the ceremony chairs; Keri’s genius!
Wanting to make sure that everything went off without a hitch, Keri brought in the fabulous as Day Of Coordinator. All I can say is if you want someone to make sure everything is in order on your big day, then you definitely want Ms. Angela.
Keri was an absolute pleasure to work with and I absolutely, wholeheartedly recommend working with .co for your next event!

The bride was very clear about her and wedding reception introduction. She wanted the 90’s Chicago Bulls starting lineup style intro. The hunt was on to find a DJ/MC who could sound as close to him as possible. Enter who was not available for the wedding but wanted to help with this task. He struck gold! He did not find someone who sounded like Ray Clay, he was able to secure the ACTUAL Chicago Bulls announcer who agreed to create the most amazing introduction with his world famous voice, even though he couldn’t be there in person. As the person charged with making this dream come to life I am so incredibly grateful to for making this happen!!
Part 2 of making the dream introduction happen was finding the DJ/MC who could take that audio clip and edit it into one of the best newlywed entrances ever. Enter who not only did a fantastic job with that edit but did so so so much more! Exeq was one of the most professional, prepared, and thorough vendors I have ever worked with. There was no meeting too early to have and no question he wouldn’t answer. Paired with the lively, entertaining MC Royal and that reception had everybody on their feet the whole time. I absolutely wholeheartedly recommend for your wedding or event, and I would without a doubt hire them for my own event!!

We knew it was going to be quite the task finding hair and makeup artists for wedding, considering neither the bride nor bridesmaids had experience with typical hair and makeup styles. No one knew what looks they wanted, or how to achieve them. Exactly what every hair and makeup artist wants to hear 😆. In the end we found 2 amazing professionals who were knowledgeable, happy to answer our questions( and there were many questions) and made us all look stunning for the brides special day! I mean look at these faces! C’mon and !!!
There was also the great conversations and of course… the dancing 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽. The bride was suuuper happy with these ladies and I absolutely recommend working with them!

Once the bride decided to have a custom wedding gown, the groom set out to find a place that could create the look to compliment his bride. He found those qualities at . All of the looks you see here are from this formal and fine men’s wear shop. Don’t they all look so sharp? Watch out GQ!

When decided to have a custom wedding dress the search was on to find a designer who could make her vision come to life. That search was over when we found . Liz, Brie, and the team made the bride feel special every step of the way of the design process with their knowledge, experience, and friendly demeanor. They made sure the brides vision was realized, ensured only quality fabrics and materials were used, (just look at the detailed embroidery on her dress) and definitely made sure we had some good laughs! I definitely recommend Designer Loft for your custom wedding gown.

A year ago family and friends from all over reunited to celebrate the wedding of and at the fabulous . As beautiful as this Westchester County gem was, the best part was working with the fantastic banquet manager Greg Kerwin. Greg was responsive, knowledgeable, helpful, and just overall friendly; which is really important when you have to be in constant communication. I wholeheartedly recommend Mulino’s at Lake for your wedding or event and especially the wonderful banquet manager Greg Kerwin!

It’s hard to believe a year has passed by already since and exchanged their wedding vows. Being the Maid of Honor/Planner was quite the task, but with the help of these fantastic vendors, it culminated into one extraordinary event. These wedding professionals are amazing at what they do. Once the restructure of my business is complete I look forward to not only inviting them to be a part of my exclusive network of vendors, but also working with them myself!
