Flash back to the summer of 2015 when I was the resident baker at an all boys summer camp on a beautiful lake in New Hampshire. Every day for 9 weeks, I would wake up before the sun to start baking fresh loaves of bread and treats for over 100 people for 3 meals a day. It was such an amazing (and exhausting) summer! So grateful for amazing opportunities that helped me grow into the baker that I am today!

Ohhhh Hiii! Melissa from Baking with Melissa here! Since It's been a little while since I've introduced myself here, I thought I'd give it another go! 💗

I was born on vacation in Natchez, Mississippi. Both of my parents were in the United States Air Force, and we moved approximately every two years or less for my entire childhood. 💗

My journey to creating Baking with Melissa (an in-home baking party entertainment company based in Los Angeles, CA) includes a professional acting repertoire of performances and hosting accomplishments that have brought me all over the world. I have been seen performing in professional dinner theatres, children's theatre, theme parks, cruise ships, trade shows, baking webisodes, public speaking competitions, and much more. 💗

In addition to my stage time, I have dedicated over half of my life to teaching children the art of acting, baking, and cooking in a variety of enrichment programs, summer camps, acting schools, theatres, and even The Ringling Brothers Circus! Yes! I used to work at the circus! I know! I know! 💗

Pre-Pandemic Days you could find me hosting live events in Los Angeles (like LA Cookie Con, The Cake Expo, The OC Fair). and you may have even caught me on TV a time or two...as seen on The Lifetime Network’s Supermarket Superstar, The Hallmark Channel's The Home and Family Show, Get it Girl TV, eHow.com, Cooking for the Bumble Bee Tuna App, and more! 💗

These days, in addition to my in-person baking parties, I'm a professional virtual baking host and teacher and have been baking with people of all ages all over the world! And I've been doing live baking segments on The Kcal CBS Los Angeles The Morning Wrap Show pretty consistently over the past year! 💗

Fun facts: I'm a vegetarian, a registered Reiki Master, love Kundalini Yoga, play sound bowls, and currently reside in Los Angeles, Ca, with my tabby cat, Jack the Cat! 💗

Let's make these delicious and healthy cookies! No refined sugars! Whole grains! Vegan/ Dairy Free. Can be made w/ gluten-free oats. Preheat oven to 350 In a bowl: Mash up 2 very ripe bananas. Add in 1 cup uncooked quick oats 1- 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (or other nuts) 1/4 tsp sea salt 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional) Scoop out onto a sprayed baking pan and bake for 15 minutes. #healthyfood #healthychoices
