Welcome to Faery Floral, a place to find both the unique and traditional! My name is Joanna, and I am the artist, designer of every item I create. All of my designs are handcrafted with high quality materials. I created this business after I lost my job due to disability, but I have been crafting, drawing, and sewing for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I would spend hours drawing and designin

g things, so when I got sick and needed a way to manage my pain, art was the clear and easy answer. Losing myself in a drawing or creating a new design helps me focus internally & better manage my pain. Through the years I've been able to get a better handle on my health, but unfortunately, I'm still not able to hold a full time job. By selling my creations I cover the cost of my supplies and overhead & hopefully bring in a little extra too. A portion of my proceeds go towards starting a podcast about surviving childhood trauma & creating a local sexual assault survivors support group. Sometimes you meet people that you just want to help, in whatever way you can. That's how this happened. Athena is a brave young girl fighting a brain tumor. Because of that fight, she's had to miss out on a lot, especially for an 8 year old. When Susan, Desi, & I found out about this, we wanted to give Athena a special day all about her, that she could bring her friends to celebrate- enter Amanda, her parents (and her mom's tea set), Pipsqueak Boutique, Bow's Head, Vinnie's Uptown Grill (including our wonderful server, Melissa), & Sempliners bridal salon. We all used our skills, resources, &/or positive energy & talents to bring this all together. These few shots barely scratch the surface of what a magical afternoon/evening it was, for all of us. The girls had an awesome time, and we, as adults, got to watch and smile at all the happy faces knowing we made 7 little girls feel like little princesses for a few hours, & even more importantly, one special little girl to forget about being sick for a few hours. It was worth every second and penny to make this afternoon happen. I can't wait to see the final pictures! *(Note, Athena is not easily visible in any of these photos. The little girl with the single shot is not her, but was just so excited to wear as much Faery Floral as possible & asked for a picture wearing it all. #FutureClient)
