We got into organizing events quite by accident but have a lot of experience doing other types of events. We previously had a wedding and party planning and deco
rating business for 12 years and also operated a banquet hall for 7 years. If they look like younger versions of us, that would be them! We have loved doing events in Seward for the past 9 years and hope to continue to serve the community and surrounding area for many years to come. We provide fun and family-friendly events that help small business owners serve more people.

Due to the overwhelming response from our vendor and crafter friends, we are moving the Utica Days Crafts and More show to the St. Paul Lutheran School Gym! Yes - it's air conditioned and we will have a little more space and parking! Save the date and come and support local small businesses and crafters!

We cannot stress this enough:
We DO NOT contact any new vendors through messenger regarding space at any of our events. We prefer email to get away from Facebook and scammers who only want your hard-earned money and then disappear. As legitimate organizers, we want vendors and shoppers at our events, and we care about your business and you as a businessperson or crafter. You are much more than dollar signs or a paycheck to us. Our goal is to host amazing events that shoppers want to attend and that are successful for vendors.
For this reason, we only send any registration forms to new vendors who have filled out the information form. We do this so that we know what your business or craft is and so that we can have a balanced event with a variety of vendors who have different items.
If anyone contacts you via messenger who says they are with our event and demands payment on messenger through electronic means, please do not respond to them. Report them to the scammer groups and report, block and delete. If you are ever in doubt, please feel free to contact the venues and check out our Facebook events. We do not request payment on messenger because it's not a safe or secure way to pay. We do not have any electronic registration forms - our information form is not a registration form. We prefer hard copies with check payment mailed to us so we have a physical copy with an original signature and get the full amount of the booth rental without having to charge extra fees.
We have been organizing events for 10 years and we have never seen as many scammers as we have recently. With the rising cost of literally everything, we don't want to anyone to unnecessarily give away what they've worked hard to earn. Please please protect yourselves and us as organizers. Hopefully one day Facebook will see the damage these predators are doing and do something about it.

I really shouldn’t have to post this and it makes me sad that I feel that I need to.
If you have an issue receiving information after you sent in our vendor information form, we appreciate it if you private message us instead of trying to discredit us by posting the issue publicly.
Many times the email ends up in spam/junk because we aren’t on your contact list yet. Sometimes it doesn’t get delivered because of security settings- either yours or your providers.
Don’t automatically assume we didn’t send it without a message first.
To us that’s just plain rude and disrespectful.
Also, we aren’t connected to our phones or computers 24 hours a day. We participate in events with our other business and also help our son farm. We live in a small town and have to drive to do anything so we can’t always respond immediately.
Please give us some grace and have a little respect - we are doing the best we can.

Tip of the day: how to spot a scammer
Most scammers are bots or from a foreign country with a distinct difference in language and also lack of punctuation. Most of us use “please” when we are asking something of someone. Almost every scammer post I’ve seen uses the word “kindly” and you are almost always asked to message the poster.
And they comment on comments in posts on events- even posts about event related items or posts that say the event is full.
Here is an example of a recent scammer that replied after we had already applied.

So, on one of our events, someone commented 'don't you have more crafters? I see mostly "commercial vendors" hawking their wares'.
I know these companies (as a whole) got a bad rap when Tupperware Tammy was messaging you non-stop about her products, or Norwex Nancy was adding you to parties that you didn’t want to be added to. Mary Kay Mandy, Senegence Sally and Farmasi Frankie were posting non-stop about why they had the best products. Monat Megan, Avon Alice and Scentsy Susan are always showing up in your feed, and you roll your eyes... scrolling on🤐 But I hope you hear my heart❤❤⤵️
Let me ask this....have you blocked the Walmart ads? Bath and Body Works? Sephora? Chevrolet? Ford? Target? McDonalds? with the same disgust you have for your fellow neighbor or friend who is trying to find a way to be a parent and a monetary contributor to their household?🥵
When someone suggests a new hair care or house hold item you can pick up at a chain store or order from Amazon, do you think to yourself ‘oh, there’s Pushy Pat trying to get me to buy something else’?😥 No--- you think-- I will give it a try.
I’m not asking you to support everyone in your friends list by purchasing something. I’m just asking you to have an open mind about why they began that journey and be open minded to what they are trying to accomplish for themselves and their families.

AND I want to add that this is why we do our events the way we do - we want to support ALL small and home-based businesses whether you spend hours making your product with love or you are part of a company promoting a product you love and are passionate about or if you are a reseller of a product that people love and want.

5 Days away the Fall into the Holidays event!! Plan your weekend to come over to Aurora and start (or finish) your holiday shopping with local crafters and vendors! Grab lunch, snacks and baked goods while you are there too!!

Craft and Vendor shows are kind of like baseball. It's simple really.
You show interest and/or contact the organizer. The organizer tells you what you need to do and most likely sends you the registration form with instructions to pay, etc.
You send in the registration form and payment and you are on the list - unless we send the registration back to you and say you aren't in.
It's pretty simple right? Don't make it harder than it is.
If you want in, send in the form and payment. EZPZ.

Looking for more crafters and vendors for our Craft Show during A'ror'in Days in Aurora on June 24 at the fairgrounds. Spaces are indoors but we have space outdoors as well.
