I will come to your event and photograph it free of charge. There is a catch. The catch is that I will upload the photos from your event to my smugmug page where you can proof them and decide whether or not you want to order prints. If you do decide you want to order prints or digital downloads only then will my fee be assessed together with whatever prints or downloads you want. My fees start at
$150 per session and go up depending on number of locations, and for certain events, length of time. We feel this to be a more mutually beneficial relationship between photographer and client. My earnings will therefore be performance based. If you're not impressed then you won't buy prints an my session fees will also not be charged, but your event will still be documented. It's gotta beat paying thousands of dollars hoping to get something good. For informations sake, and so that you don't think I'm some shmuck with a disposable Kodak from Wal-Mart, I will list the gear that I may use. Disclaimer: The following list is the gear I use and not necessarily the gear I will choose to use on every shoot. Each shoot will be looked at individually for location and ease of use with different equipment.
-Canon 5D MKII
-Canon 70-200MM 2.8L IS USM MKII
-Canon 50MM 1.2L
-Canon 24-105 4.0L IS
-Canon 24-70 2.8L
-Canon 16-35 2.8L
-Canon Speedlite 580EX II
-22" Beauty Dish
-Photos are edited with Adobe software on a 2013 27" iMac (that's important to some)
Although this page is new to Facebook, and documenting my photographs in this way are new to me, I have been photographing weddings, engagements, and other events since 1999. (That's back in the 35mm days for those who never knew that era.) Most importantly I love photography and I hope that this method will encourage more couples and individuals to use professional equipment and people to document life's most important moments. (No offense to users of Kodak disposable cameras from Wal-Mart was intended.)
