The LDEI Legacy Awards offer life-changing mentorship programs. It's time to apply!
The application deadline is April 30, 2022.

The Legacy Awards, supported by The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts, were established in 2009 by Les Dames d’Escoffier International with one goal in mind: to provide targeted mentorship opportunities for professional women in the food, fine beverage, and hospitality industries. The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts generously supports our Legacy Awards program.

In 2022, distinguished members of LDEI are offering six unique experiences in six distinct categories: Supply Chain, Hotels & Hospitality, Fine Spirits, Wine & Hospitality, Culinary, and Culinary Entrepreneurship.

Each Legacy Award winner earns a week-long experience working alongside accomplished LDEI members. The Awards are open to professional women from the U.S., Mexico, U.K., Canada, and France who are not current or past members of LDEI but have a minimum of four years’ experience working in their industry.

45 years ago today the Paris Wine Tasting, also known as the Judgment of Paris, shocked the world when California producers won each category with Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon over the classic French wines. 15 years later, we made our first wines, the 1991 Pride Mountain Vineyards Chardonnay and 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon, making 2021 our 30th anniversary of winemaking. We hope you'll raise a glass with us in appreciation of the wineries who helped make California a recognized and renowned winemaking region: Chateau Montelena Winery, Stags' Leap Winery, Ridge Vineyards, Spring Mountain Vineyard, Mayacamas Vineyards, Freemark Abbey Winery, Clos du Val Winery, Heitz Cellar, Veedercrest Wines, David Bruce Winery
