My Story

I am completely self-taught and have had a love of sewing, fashion and costumes since I can remember, continually studying and developing patterns and techniques. I started making costumes for Dance Schools 27 years ago for Festival Dance Academy, owned by Anita Cahill and am still making costumes for her daughter who runs Chloe Dance Academy. I then started making for Allesley School of Dance and Three Spires Dance School whilst still working to fund my start-up business. I am now also the main costume maker for Elite Dance Academy too, with costume making being my full-time job. I recently made the Festival of the Lion King costumes for Spotlight Stage School who won the Dance World Cup for their age group, which is my greatest achievement to date.

My work is my passion and I have to sew every day, getting withdrawal symptoms when I go on holiday. Every costume is a work of art to me and I put my heart and soul into every one. I personally measure every child whenever possible, as every child is different, one size never fits all. Many of my Troupes have won ' Best Costume' awards, especially ‘Alice’s Nightmare’
