After 18 years with the Green Bay Packers, future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been traded to the New York Jets, CBS Sports NFL Insider Jonathan Jones reports. In a move that seemed like it was a long time coming after Rodgers declared his intent was to play for the Jets, the deal is done.

New York sent this year's pick No. 13, a 2023 second-round pick (No. 42), a sixth-round pick (No. 207) and a conditional 2024 second-round pick to Green Bay in exchange for Rodgers, the No. 15 pick and a 2023 fifth round pick (No. 170), according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The second-round pick becomes a first-rounder if Rodgers plays 65% of the snaps this season. Both the Packers and Jets can now breathe a sigh of relief since they both received what they wanted in an exchange that almost didn't happen.

Instead of the Big Apple, Derek Carr is heading to New Orleans. The Saints are signing the former Pro Bowl quarterback to a deal worth $150 million, including $100 million in total guarantees, according to NFL Media. Carr, who structured his deal to accommodate New Orleans' cap situation, gets $60 million at signing.

Recent reports suggested that Jets were the frontrunners to land Carr. Yet the Saints, who had been in the running to acquire him from the beginning, managed to lure the offseason's top available quarterback. Carr confirmed the news by Tweeting "Who Dat" late Monday morning. The Saints also announced agreeing to terms with the veteran.

He also thanked Raiders fans again with a post on Instagram: "I will miss all of you Raiders fans also. Thank you for an amazing 9 years."

The Raiders' all-time career passing leader, Carr was a four-time Pro Bowl selection during his nine years with the franchise. A league MVP candidate prior to getting hurt late in the 2016 season, Carr led the Raiders to the franchise's only two playoff appearances since 2002.
