3 things every platter needs

1. I always say variety over quantity. Offer smaller portions but a bigger variety, that way there’s always something for everyone!

2. We eat with our eyes first right?! Make your platter pop with bright fruit and dips.

3. Every platter needs something soft, something hard and something crunchy! And maybe a cheeky wine or 2 to wash it all done 😉

So wether you’ve left things too late to order one or just simply feeling peckish, have a crack at making a platter.

You never know much you need a break until you actually take one!

I basically worked 24/7 during the lockdown and would always tell myself I’m taking the next couple of days off but never actually did.

But when I finally did, boy was it great for the soul!

Savoury 🧀 or Sweet 🍩 or both?

Personally, It’s savoury for me. I don’t have a sophisticated palette, I like to keep things simple but some of my favourite combos are ham and Brie on a wafer or brie with honeycomb and pistachio or pita bread with hummus and cherry tomato or feta and watermelon!!!🤤

Today is R U OK? Day and it’s now more than ever that we need to be checking in on each other.

After 6 lockdowns, we have pivoted, adjusted and adapted more than anyone else in the world and for some, it’s been a little harder on than others.

So today, take a minute (or thirty!) not just to check in on one another but for YOU! Step away from your computer, away from remote learning, forget the mess and do something JUST FOR YOU!

For me, Ive always been positive during the lockdowns regardless of how hard they are because I focussed on being grateful for what I had rather than what I can’t control but even I had moments where it got to me.

And as a people pleaser and a workaholic type of girl, I struggle with being still. I think I might just take 30mins to myself and go for a decent walk today 🤞

I’ve always stayed positive and grateful during the whole pandemic. Positive mindset so I can be a rock for my family and grateful because we still had a roof over our head, food on the table and we were safe and healthy.

But these lockdowns are starting to kill my soul. I had so much planned for TGC, fun and creative ideas that I couldn’t wait to launch and show you guys.

But with these constant, abrupt lockdowns I thought to myself why bother? I’ll only be taking 1 step forward and then 3 back.

So to every single person and especially my friends and family, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continuous support. Without you guys, I, along with every other small business, wouldn’t be able to do what we do

If you’ve already tried our stuffed dinner rolls, then I’m sure you’d agree that the marinated chicken and salad is the best one of them all 🤤🤤🤤 Ok maybe I’m bit biased but the marinated chicken is just so damn good!

Growing up, I watched my mum literally cook up a storm and make enough food to feed the whole street whenever we had friends or family over.

Thinking of You 💕

The lockdown in Melbourne has been tough. Just because we’ve done it before, it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t set off a trigger of raw emotions and that feeling of déjà vu.

These lockdowns have affected us all in one way or another but the biggest one being our mental health.

On the bright side I’ve had the pleasure of seeing human kindness at its best. At a time when we are feeling alone and isolated, I’ve seen how a simple gesture of gifting can turn that frown upside down.

It still blows my mind how quickly things can change. Just like that we are locked down again - events, gatherings, catch ups cancelled. Special moments missed and last minute scrambling to organise plan B.

A couple of months ago mum moved in with us - which we have absolutely loved! The perks are 👌 free babysitting, traditional meals cooked from scratch, a full freezer...etc simply grateful!

But she’s definitely that person who just chucks everything into the dishwasher 🤣

For this one, it was a pleasure to cater for our local nurses who were getting together for a night out.

What better way than to enjoy something sweet and something savoury all while sipping on wine and learning to paint!

is by far one of the coolest little hidden gems in Werribee and the artists are just the loveliest!

A special request all the way from Dubai!

A good friend of mine recently got in touch for a wee hamper box as well as one of my famous carrot cakes! Those who are in my inner circle know this cake all too well! 😂 it’s my go to when I’m asked to bring a plate (other than a platter of course).

Anyway, So I put together a hamper box that had a bit of everything and is perfect for nibbling on over a 2-3 days. It had cold cuts, different cheeses, dips, olives, crackers and fresh fruit.

These hampers are perfect as Get Well/Thinking of You gifts or even for a new mama who’s just gotten out of hospital

I often get asked how do I do it all and the truth is it’s a constant juggle and no 2 days are the same. Some days are good, some days are horrible.

But one thing is for sure, I couldn’t do what I do without the help of my little man. Even though he’s only 8, he’s my little side kick. He helps me run around and clean up. He will get the washing off the line, fold and put it away. He helps look after Jacob, make his bottle and put him down for a nap. He will pick up toys and vacuum the floor. He loads and unloads the dishwasher. He even makes his own brekkie and lunch for school and for his brother too!

Noah, I love you so so much my darling boy and forever grateful for the beautiful soul you are 😘

This Bridal Shower was held at the , which was just 1 of the coolest places ever!

The girls nibbled on the grazing table and sipped wine while painting 🧑‍🎨

As a mum of 3 little boys, I loooove creating grazing tables for kids! 🥰

Had so much creating this spread for a 5th birthday! And it was at funfields! Such a cool birthday and not gonna lie, I was a tad jealous haha

This was a 2.5m set up with 360 access. 1.5 was dedicated to the birthday boy and all his little buddies and 1m for the adults.
