Lovely vibes at Salón San Miguel last Saturday 😍

I really like to create the mood in spaces like this. A 5-hour vinyl-only journey through disco sounds, deep house and percussive rhythms - weaving these styles together is something that feels especially close to my heart right now. Music for restaurants, dance floors, sunset sessions and everything in between: keeping things moving and alive while still leaving room for conversation and connection.

10 years DJing and curating at Helsinki Coffee Festival 🪩🎶 (PART 2)

Looking back at these 10 years, it has always really been about the people behind the music. So many talented DJs bringing their own style and taste. That is what has shaped the vibe at Kaapelitehdas!

From slower-paced morning sessions to higher-energy afternoon moments, the musical range of tunes has been wide 👉 from ambient and lounge sounds to influences from coffee-producing countries, all the way to more dynamic house, disco and percussive rhythms. This year we are even hosting the very first coffee Ravespresso during the event! 💃

Helsinki Coffee Festival believes in creating a space where music truly complements the exhibition visitor experience. More of a festival feeling than just moving from one stand to another. The brilliant designers at Sun Effects bring the visual side to life and when the right music meets that atmosphere, it just clicks. Something bigger than the individual pieces ♾️

Here’s another round of artists who have been part of building that sound and spirit. Grateful to have shared the booth with so many of you over the years 🙏 Special mention to Hannu Nieminen aka DJ Ender - loved our b2b last year, such a great session with a wide spectrum of disco & more ✨

10 years curating and DJing at Helsinki Coffee Festival 🎶 🪩 (PART 1)

I have been part of Northern Europe’s biggest coffee festival since day one in 2015, and from a music perspective, it has grown into something far, far beyond just background notes at a typical exhibition.

As resident DJ and Head of Music Programming, I have had the opportunity to really shape the sound and atmosphere of the event 👉 curating line-ups, building moods and manifesting uplifting moments while people enjoy incredible variety of coffee and tea flavours ☕✨

I feel truly honoured to have shared this journey with so many amazing DJs over the years. This also marks my 10th time playing at the festival, which feels pretty special. The back-to-back sessions with some of my favourite Finnish DJs have been a real highlight too, like the one with Paleface / DJ Daddy Pales where we found a perfect match together blending acid jazz, downtempo and Balearic sounds ❤️‍🔥

As a sign of respect to these great selectors, I’m sharing this first post featuring some of the artists who have contributed to create the unique atmosphere at Kaapelitehdas with their music selections throughout the past decade.
