Took a month doing this embroidery. It was all free hand with no pattern as I only had blurry pictures as references. The embroidery is single strand so it took forever to finish. Always have fun while cosplaying. Never be too serious taking photos. When your doing test shots to check the light that's your chance to make a face and strike a pose. You are less stressed, stiff, and are able to have more natural poses after being silly. Try to make your photographer laugh when he checks the camera.

An amazing photo by the incredible . Loved making this cosplay. We found the perfect fabric that is blue purple tone brocade with a small design. The white fabric is also a brocade but a floral one. The photo is so dramatic and definitely one of our favorites.

Largest prop we have made so far at 10.5 feet. It's perfectly balanced. I dont know how we keep getting the math right. It's all estimations and guess work. Cant wait to pick the next big prop we make but it might be a while as we will be traveling light for cosplay for a while.

Even though we made fabric based monster hunter cosplays it definitely required more skills than one thinks. The designs are based off of historic Japanese garments and required more research to make sure we where respectful of garments and how they are worn and made. What fabrics where used. We chose to used fake matka silk.

To be honest I cosplay a lot of male characters because I look better as a hot guy than as female characters. I am tall hand have androgynous features perfect for pretty boy characters. A lot of media have their female characters as short with soft features I just dont fit that look and it makes me self conscious. Are there type of characters you feel more comfortable cosplaying?

There are so many peices in these cosplays. We used up 4 whole jumbo rolls of warbla. We had to separate the cosplays in to their own solo bags to make sure we had all the peices. It looks very simple but the cosplays are mostly composed of curved seems and complicated patterns.

We won best group craftmanship in the masters division. This year we were not as sleep deprived as last year but still experiencing sleep deprivation. Had a wonderful experience with the masquerade. Already going through cosplay withdrawal (when you finish a project and just want to start another one right away but you need to take a break and you dont know what to do with your life as for the past few months all you did was craft every free moment). Not been very good about posting on instagram. Have not been doing that many photoshoots. Mostly been busy with masquerade stuff, working at repair booths, and just enjoying time with freinds and introducing freinds to conventions.
