What started this...
Ideals on a piece of paper, awesome house show festivals, and a group of friends.
So our Manager and Founder Amon Hanson got inspired to start Freshen Up MGMT because of an event called “BAFA Big Ass Fat Ass Bafaween” an event hosted by one of his favorite local bands Zoot Suit. Sadly they broke up. But the show was all ages, at a house, and BYOB. Also Amon’s band Social Creatures got to play in a living room in one of these events. So the event idea became something he wanted to do for the Music community of Oklahoma. Sitting down with several friends and venues having meetings and writing notes in a notebook. To make an event just like the one he attended. He made good friends a venue called “Earth Rebirth” hired him as the show manager which opened a lot of doors. June 3rd of 2017 was the first event he put together with a large group of friends, volunteers, and The staff at Earth Rebirth. 12 bands and 2 stages. He saw his dreams come true that evening. 300 people attended the event not counting all the bands and staff. It was an incredible night.
As he still fulfills his dreams playing in his band and also booking awesome events. He wants to see your dreams come true. So pursue them!
