We missed one person this evening, but these five ladies wove long enough yardage to make SAORI garment(s) most of the last weekends. We met tonight and put together their one-of-a-kind garments!! What an accomplishment!
I remember how I felt when I put together almost 30 years ago. It was just a JOY and I was proud of myself!!
I am sure they are proud of themselves. Congratulations!

"Woven Joy"-adventures on weaving together-
Thank you so much for coming to the opening/fashion show last night. Because of YOU, my dream came true! I couldn't do this without you all. I felt a strong community around people. We were TOGETHER!!
Thanks to my friend and the space (Signature Arts) owner Angie for getting ready for this cozy and beautiful space for us to be together.
There will be a SAORI workshop on 11/9, 1-4pm at the Signature Arts. The participants will be surrounded by all these beautiful work to be inspired while you weave!
This is a "by appointmen only" show. Please let me know if you want to see this show. This runs until 12/14.
Exactly one year ago, I started the Japanese Arts and Culture Tour. What's coming on Oct. 18, 2025?

Look what I was gifted from the facility I was leading SAORI Weaving for last 6 weeks.

Studio FUN presents,
"Woven Joy"-adventures on weaving together.
SAORI Weaving exhibit opening this Friday on Oct. 18 (Fri) 6-8pm.
at Signature Arts 130 Warwick St. SE, Minneapolis, MN
Fashion show begins around 7pm.
If you have a piece or two you have woven with me in the past, please bring them and join the fashion show!! They don't need to be garments.
It's all about community. Let's enjoy expressing ourselves just like SAORI Weaving!

Every week, I see at least one sports team themed piece. The one piece from today's session was of course, Vikings!!
He gave it to the staff who really wants to weave with us, but has to work. She is a huge Vikings fan! She was so thrilled to have this piece!!
The other one is "Mountain Dew" theme😆
One more session to go. I'm looking forward to the "themes."

It's nice to see more men weaving than women every week.
A few of them joined the group and tried their first weaving experience today.

Who remembers Chiaki O'Brien from the ArtWorks Festival this year? Chiaki was here demonstrating SAORI weaving and festival goers even got to get on the loom to try it out themselves!
