Hi everyone, I’m hoping that you’re all having fun following the adventures of Faust.
Up until now, the story has been going based on the whims of various factors. We started with Faust and Fenrisúlfr running around in a vast field, my plan being to just showcase random myths and legends about our favorite fledgling goddess.
It wasn’t until I started working on a set of images to imply that she visited Egypt that I started making a more linear story. The ideas just came together, because I was using Egypt to establish things about Faust. Her dominion over magic, her love of yaks and learning.
Then I started to realize that I wanted to introduce you all to her found family, and that’s where I’ve been having the most fun. But the story was still being driven by opening DALL-E and asking myself “What do I want to show everyone?”, or reacting to some weird defect in images I may or may not have used in posts. Unfortunately, this approach has led to writing myself into a position where I either spend a day moving the narrative on the fly or having ideas that last two or three days.
I’m going to be slowing things down a bit while I chart out the journey up the tree, I want this part of the story to be both entertaining and interesting.
I want to be clear, this isn’t a farewell or a goodbye post, it’s my way of saying thank you for following so far, and I hope that you don’t mind the story progression slowing down or even taking a short break.
