Congratulations to the prize winners at the October Columbus Plus-Score.

The Columbus Plus-Score tournament was held Saturday October 5, 2024, in Grove City, OH. Participants played four rounds of USCF rated chess G/60;d5. Prizes are based on points. Once you finish your last game, you get your prize. No waiting. No prize splitting.

Stanley Qiu [1799] with 4.0 points took home $200.00. The big winner. Mehmet Yilanli [1696] with 3.0 points won $50 and Alex Zimakov [1372] with 2.5 points took home $25.

The Chess Enterprise Team is going on holiday vacation, November and December. Join us for our next Columbus Plus-Score tournament, the first Saturday in January. January 4, 2025, the first round starts at 10am. The Chess Enterprise tournaments are open to players of all ages and strengths.

♔♕♖♗♘ Central Ohio G/75 Classic ♞♝♜♛♚

Saturday 09/14/24, in Grove City, OH. The tournament attracted 24 players competing in two sections over a $500 prize fund.

Congratulations to the winners.

In the Premier section, the big winner was David Friedman, with a perfect 3/3. Pranav Jayaganesh took second place with 2.5/3, and a four-way tie for third place Robert Chenault, Siddarth Kunapuli, Aarya Sivakumar, and Om Chatterjee all with 2/3.

In the Reserve section, the big winner was Umut Bilgi, with a perfect 3/3. It was Hunter Hong, Michael Bauml, Ayoosh Jha, and Shashank Palla in a four-way tie for second place with 2/3. Atharv Singh 1.5/3 won the Top U1200 prize.

Congratulations to the prize winners at the August Columbus Plus-Score the tournament was held in Grove City, OH. The G/60 tournament drew 21 players competing in 2 sections with 10 players winning a cash prize. Prizes are based on points. Once your last game is finished, the prize is paid. No waiting. In the Premier section, Gohmann 2014 and Kunapuli 1935 both with 3.0 points won $50 each. Friedman 1981 and Schommer 1521 with 2.5 points won $25 each

In the Reserve section, Prentosito 1471, Gao 1469, Braga 1253 and Taylor 1181 all with 3.0 points took home $40 each. Franklin 1527 and Mohan Raj 1155, both with 2.5 points won $20.

On Saturday 06/01/2024 we held the June Columbus Plus-Score. The G/60 tournament drew 20 players competing in 2 sections with 7 players winning a cash prize. Prizes are based on points. Once your last game is finished, the prize is paid. No waiting. No prize splitting.

In the Premier section, Friedman 2005, Ramachandran 1918, and Kunapuli 1941 all with 3.0 points won $50 each. Sureshkumar 1520 with 2.5 points won $25.

In the Reserve section, Patel 1410 with 3.5 took home $80. Thompson 1450 with 3.0 won $40 and Sterling 1299 with 2.5 points won $20.

The Chess Enterprise tournament directors Myron Thomas, Chief Tournament Director, Will Thomas and Eric Gittrich joined Columbus, OH tournament directors Grant Neilley, Kathy Lin, Jeff Shen, Steve Charles and 65 tournament directors from 15 states to direct The 2024 National Elementary School Championship, organized by US Chess. For Eric, Jeff and Steve this was their first time directing at a national event.

The annual event took place in Columbus, Ohio 4/26 -4/28 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. With 1,586 players from 42 states, some of the strongest players in the US competed for individual and team prizes. This event recognizes national champions in four championship sections: K-1, K-3, K-5, and K-6.

On Saturday May 4th we held the May Columbus Plus-Score. The G/60 tournament drew 23 players in 2 sections with 7 players winning a cash prize. Prizes are based on points. Once you finish your last game, you get your prize. No waiting. No prize splitting.

In Premier, Passen 2186, Abutal 1900, and Ramachandran 1821, all with 3.0 points won $50 each. Kunapuli 1937 with 2.5 points won $25.

In Reserve, Hecht 1562, with 4.0 points won $160, the big winner. Droll UNR and Wiles 1014 both with 3.0 points won $40 each.
