Layla J has been an avid supporter of the Electronic Dance Music scene since before she was even old enough to make it into clubs legally. Continuous exposure to the the rock bands of her father’s Records collection namely; The Eagles, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Rodriquez guided her early musical direction. In later years Layla J developed a Golden Ear for Harder Industrial Techno Music, lis

ted under her influences are such Super Producers; Yanamaste, Dax J, DVS1 and Oscar Mulero. Layla J kick started her DJ career six years ago and has since made major inroads in the Durban scene and festival scene such as Elysium, Butterfly Effect, Abracadabra, Funky Fish, Indigenous Frequency, Connexion NYE and Thank Me Later Festival. Durban Clubs played at includes Multiple performances at venues such as Origin Nightclub, Absolute Nightclub and Kulture Nightclub.
