The Midtown Collective Crawfish Cookoff was an absolute blast! All these teams showed up and cooked some of the best crawfish I've ever had!

This event was very well run and the judging and turn ins went very smooth! Honestly, one of my favorite cookoffs I've ever attended.

There were only 13 teams but every single one of them were amazing and unique.

Huge shout out to all the teams who competed and congratulations to the winners!

There's another really great AYCE crawfish cookoff going on this Saturday in Houston, Tx.

There are some heavy hitters competing in this event and serving some of the best crawfish in Texas to all of you! You will recognize many of these teams from The Crawfish Critic!

This is an SCCA - Southern Crawfish Cookoff Association sanctioned event so the teams will earn points towards getting an invitation to the largest and most prestigious crawfish cookoff in history, The 2025 SCCA Super Boil Championship hosted by Stalekracker & The Crawfish Critic

My plan is to attend this event and then leave around 3 or 4 and head to Montgomery Music & Mudbugs Festival

Its time! Cook team sign-ups are live for the 5th Annual Crawfish Critic Cookoff. Sign up to compete to win over $10,000 in prize money!

This year the event is being sanctioned by the Southern Crawfish Cookoff Association which is going to take this competition to the next level. Placing 1st 2nd or 3rd almost guarantees your invite to the 2025 SCCA Super Boil Championship.

Remember, competing in this event is not cheap. We expect our teams to show up and show out! The sign up fee is only $500 but you will have a 30x30 space that you are required to provide a tent, tables, chairs, decorations, entertainment & cooking essentials such as pots, propane, seasoning, etc...

You will be serving at least 10 sacks of crawfish to the public throughout the day so you will need big enough cooking pots to keep up with the demand of your booth and a team of 8 people to help cook & serve to keep the lines short and the service fast!

This is a great opportunity for experienced cook teams, restaurants, catering companies, etc... to advertise your business & get your name out there by serving over 5,000 attendees your amazing crawfish and encouraging them to eat at your restaurants and use your catering services!

We also recommend our teams secure sponsors to help offset these costs. This is a great opportunity for any local business to get their name out there and join in on the fun.

I'm excited to officially announce the newly formed Southern Crawfish Cookoff Association

The SCCA is a collaboration between Stalekracker & The Crawfish Critic to bring crawfish cookoffs together under the same regulations & guidelines to create a more competitive landscape.

Participating in SCCA-sanctioned events offers more than just a chance to showcase your boiling skills—it's an opportunity to be part of something bigger, with the ultimate goal of securing a spot in the Super Boil Championships in 2025.

This year we are working towards sanctioning over 60 crawfish cookoffs! Here's a list of cookoffs who have signed up so far!

Welcome to the SCCA - Southern Crawfish Cookoff Association

The SCCA is a collaboration between Stalekracker & The Crawfish Critic to bring all crawfish cookoffs together under the same regulations & guidelines to create a more competitive landscape.

Every season the SCCA will host the SCCA Super Boil Championship. This cookoff will be an invite only event featuring ONLY the best cook teams from all of the sanctioned cookoffs from the year before to see who is the BEST crawfish cookoff team in the world.
